They can't do everything. The temp and altitude readings are reasonably accurate and are not meant to be accurate to a fraction of a degree or to a foot. I suppose they could make it more accurate but then you would pay much more for "secondary" functions.

My first bike was the RC3000 and I still use it on the IDT. The original saddle is not good! On my other bikes I have the Selle Italia SLR saddles. Never had a problem. Still occasionally have problems on the RC3000 saddle. In my opinion try a Selle Italia SLR. Or at least get a hard saddle.

I would look at new wheels. I have upgraded to the Easton EA90 Aero wheels with their R4 hubs. Being very happy. They were around R6k. You could also look at a new groupset. For value for price have a look at SRAM. They are generally much cheaper than Shimano and Campy and just as good if not better.
