  1. Which shipping option did you use? When I ordered last year I had extremely bad service from UPS! So I steer clear of anything that involves UPS.
  2. Good to know! That is the reason for seeing so much beer being drunk after races!
  3. The ABSA confirmation emails I think are an internal ABSA scam. My grandfather is with ABSA and my mother and uncle do his banking for him. Everytime they log in to ABSA they get one of those emails. Of course it just gets deleted everytime.
  4. Who owns these bots?
  5. That would be fantastic! Can't they make it from this second!!!
  6. So I have just got a phone call from a private number. Now I don't usually answer but since I am waiting for some important calls from people I know use private numbers I answer. It is some women identifying herself as from Nashua mobile wanting to give me a free Samsung phone but want me to pay for this or that. As I still have more than a year left on my current contract and very happy with my iPhone I do not need another phone. I also have a cheapy prepaid phone that I use for when I go riding. So I politely tell this woman that I do not need another phone and I am not interested in it. She gets all pushy and says that I can give it to a family member, who don't need another phone or have any desire whatsoever for another phone (she listed the features and my phone can do as much and more). I continue to tell her that I am not interested and have no use for it. She gets more pushy. In the end I simply put the phone down. I wish there was a way to stop these people from b****y phoning me!!! It just p****s the H3LL outa me! If I wanted more insurance, a new phone or whatever then I would contact the relevant people when I need to! There is my rant for the day!
  7. You could try ride with some of the groups that ride the Spruit. Although with the rains the Spruit is a bit of a mess at the moment.
  8. Extreme Ways by Moby. It is also the Bourne theme song.
  9. Make it three. Sure, I agree with giving to some development like that guy at Emperors. He deserves it and will use and appreciate any stuff which is given to him. But the SAPS also need some stuff to effectively do their jobs and patrol and protect the area that we frequently ride.
  10. I have also seen SAPS on the Spruit. Then one had a sense of humour and said they protecting the vagrants that we mtb'ers are harassing.
  11. Nice meeting you too' date=' Andy. Didn't know that was you in the small group at B&D, what kit were you wearing? Eish, I was a little sick last week and had a shocker of a race at B&D, thank goodness I felt better yesterday.[/quote'] I was wearing the CLab Club kit. I was dropped, blown out more like it, on that windy part and then that small group that you were in caught the CLab Race Team rider and I soon after crossing the R24. Glad you felt better for Emperors!
  12. Yeah, there were a couple of attackers. He was close enough to identify the weapon which if I remember correctly was a P88. They apparently phoned Douglasdale SAPS and were told it is no their problem and they must phone Randburg.
  13. Yes, we got an email from the police on updates and I think it may have menthioned that. The guy's bottle was shot in the incident.
  14. Which attack did they mention?
  15. Yes, the adjustments are very inconsistant! As well as DQ'ing riders starting ahead of their groups.
  16. I would go for the Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL3. I got mine in December and it is fantastic. Great value for money as well. A superb frame for much less that what similar frame would cost by other manufacturers.
  17. Yes. Kurt-Asle Arvesen. Broken collar bone. Not nice. Watched the Team Time Trial yesterday. Was good!
  18. I am a roadie who does quite a bit of MTB'ing although not much MTB racing. I have a decent enough Hard Tail because I didn't want to spend too much as road is my main focus and didn't want to have to worry about maintenance of rear shock etc. I find that for my riding (and I did the Nando's Magalies Adventure last year) a Hard Tail is sufficient.
  19. I enquired with them about buying a chip and was told that they only have them for rent at the moment. Saturday I Komorant I rented one for R50 and got my R50 back which was good because it didn't even pick me up it seems.
  20. Yip, that gravel rider really got a few shouts! The motorbike marshal did although I saw very little of him but then I tried to stay more to the front of the group. I think that the group stay too big for him to really handle so he definity had his work cut out for him!
  21. Maybe because you started with the 50km people. But this adjust start time seems to work some times and not others.
  22. Time in relation to the winner's time. But I think they also adjust it a bit with weighting depending on the difficulty of the race.
  23. A nice race apart from the potholes! Anyone know if there were any crashes there? The A bunch seemed to ride quite sensibly there. Finished in the bunch in 2:37. Good to meet your after the race Flex. Rode with you in that small group at Berge en Dale as well.
  24. Martin, thanks for your efforts yesterday! I'm sure most of the cyclists appreciate your efforts even if we don't yell a thanks to you. Rude, were you in A bunch yesterday? We had the moron overtake on the gravel on the left and a few close calls at some intersections.
