  1. Okay, its not that nice. I created a 10km route from my house now. It only gives me one option. Mostly on roads that will most probably get me killed.
  2. I checked it out now, very user friendly. Will give it a try on my next run.
  3. Ive used suunto heat maps before, should be similar. But the Strava heatmaps are much more active.

  5. I saw a pepper gel this morning. It literally sticks to your skin. I would actually feel bad using something like that. Especially on an animal.
  6. Is there any specific brand/type of pepper spray you carry when running? Its already pitch dark when I run in the mornings,and I run alone. Im more weary of dogs than anything else, but rather safe than sorry.

  8. It was a tibial sf, my gp told me horror stories and advised me to never run again. Fortunately my physio was less conservative. Whenever I feel hotspots on my shins I still freak out.
  9. I had a lot of false starts, but all in all about 4 months.
  10. When I started running again after my stress fracture my bio told me not to complicate things. Just start very slowly with a run walk combination and increase pace and distance as you feel comfortable. But never run trough pain.
  11. I tried the FK and the normal upper. I really preferred the normal one much more. It felt a little tighter and more secure. Any reason you prefer the FK?
  12. I spend 10 min/day doing strength exercises. All I do is single leg bridges for the hips/glutes and hamstrings, and some 1 min plank sets. Most of my injuries and niggles disappeared since doing this. I also finish my runs with some walking lunges. Its great for stretching out the legs, with the strength benefit as well.
  13. Try the Zoom Fly, cheaper than the Vaporfly. It is really the best shoe I have ever used, its just impossible to explain how comfortable and fast these shoes feel.

  16. I finally did my sub 4 marathon. Cutting it close, 3h58, but its still a sub 4???? Can now ease into my Comrades training with no pressure. Good thing is that Im not nearly as sore as after my previous marathon.

  20. How ridiculous is this. If you were planning on doing your long runs on the same day as a sanctioned race..dont. You will be "disciplined"????
  21. I've been following this thread from the beginning, and I'm still not convinced that any vegan dish can taste as good as a proper lamb curry. And I still giggle when I read about nut cheese. But I find it interesting non the less.
  22. That's how discussions are started. Quite often the opposite pole of your view might come across as non constructive.
