  1. Morning all, Not sure if this topic has come up in the past but I have a Kickr Core which suddenly stopped showing any speed or power measurements. I uninstalled the app numerous times but without success. Next step was to check and make sure there was no interference from other devices but still not working. I then contacted Wahoo SA as well as Wahoo USA for advice and support. The SA guys told me to take a 5 - 10 second video which I did and their diagnosis was that the PCB was damaged and that I could send them the damaged Kickr for a trade-in. Unfortunately the unit is out of warranty and Wahoo SA trade-in price is not feasible. Surely if the PCB is damaged you can replace the part but what really worries me is how a support person can diagnose a Kickr from a 5 - 10 second video without actually seeing the complete unit? I really wanted to know what owners of out of warranty Kickr's are doing with their units?

  3. Hi Everybody, Maybe somebody can help me with an issue that started with my Kickr Core yesterday When the trainer starts to spin up there is a clicking noise coming from the flywheel which seems to get worse at low cadence. The chaps from Wahoo support haven't really been great with helping out and only suggest sending the trainer to them for a R900 "service" and if the unit is Ir-repairable then they will do a trade-in. Now after some Googling i found that this is quite a common fault with the Core and the solution is pretty easy to fix. This is one solution taken from a forum. "I found my 2 weeks old kickr 2018 making the same noises. I´ve sent a video showing these noises to the wahoo support. They told it was a known problem and that they would send me a small set with parts to fix it with a manual. The parts arrived the next day and they could be changed within 20 min with normal tools. So far there are no clicking noises anymore...I hope that could help you!" Now is this really a quick fix or am i missing something? Attached is the video clip i took this morning. IMG_3337.MOV
  4. I have the Louis Garneau Granite II MTB Shoes and absolutely love them. If you have wide feet then most of the Louis Garneau shoe range is not for you. Build quality of the MTB shoes is very good and overall weight of the shoe is also good. Pricing is not bad but if i were you i would spend a little more and get the Granite II shoes.
  5. Sorry my bad for not reading further...
  6. Not really cycle related but looks cool.
  7. How is easy is it to connect a speed/cadence sensor to an Apple watch?
  8. Seeing that he only joined the Hub today says a lot. Glad you didn't get hooked.
  9. Mus be the same two pricks that were riding the trails in the wrong direction.
  10. Quite simple. when you add your Apple watch to Strava via the permissions screen, every time you log a workout on the watch you will receive a notification in Strava to do an import of the activity. It's quite straight forward.
  11. No official feedback from Discovery unless you can share what you heard? Been on the website now and still no link for Wahoo under devices
  12. Hi, i run a MTB setup with Zwift. What do you want to know?
  13. I'm sure one of these surveys has already been running the forum?
  14. The article doesn't really give a proper answer... i presume they have no idea on how to determine vigorous exercise

  17. Is it only me that feels a bit scammed when the merchant gives you the "Black Friday" discount on the RRP and not on the current selling price? When you go online and see what you want at the current price (always slightly discounted to the RRP) and then request a BF on that current price, they go and give you the discount on the RRP...What's the point?

  19. I recently had a fall on the road and a Bersitus started on my upper hip section. Mine got so inflamed, sore and swollen that i went to a sports doctor and his treatment for getting rid of it was the following: 1) Have an X-Ray and Ultra-sound done. This will eliminate any fractures, broken pieces of bone and also determine where and what the fluid sack is pushing against. Usually a main artery which causes the discomfort and pain. 2) Take calcium, Vitamin C and Zinc capsules. All roughly 1000mg per day 3) Take 2 anti-inflammatory's twice daily. 12 Hours apart. Roughly 550mg/dose 4) One muscle relaxant at night so so you can get some sleep. 5) Wear at all times compression pants. In your case a compression elbow sock. 6) Ice pack the "***" out of the area every 3Hrs for 20mins 7) Receive Physio treatment at least twice a week. Physio will massage and work the area. 8) If the above doesn't reduce the size of the Bersitus then draining will be the next option. Draining done with a 14 gauge needle and no local anesthetic. Make sure you have a good medical aid as the above is not cheap but the first 5 steps are really working for me.
  20. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a bike then if i'm going to donate or sell it after 2 weeks.
  21. I'm in the same boat as you but my daughter is 3 and now wants a bicycle. We checked out most of the balance bikes when she was 2 but they seem to be a bit to heavy for her and then she lost interest. I was going to go the route of a bicycle with training wheels but after reading all the posts that might not be an option anymore. Getting back to the balance bike, which brands would be more suitable for a girl as in weight and size? The bike is her xmas gift this year so don't want it to be another gift that gets used for 2 weeks and then lies in the playroom with all the other stuff!
