  1. Out of the 3 option, i would choose the 530. Garmin just works and the 530 will do all you need and more.

I currently use the 520, should i ever need to replace it, will be the 530 or whatever follows on from that.

    This

  2. That's the beauty of it. So maybe you can nominate the dates you want your "surprise"

    Birthday and Christmas

R6000 per annum can be split in some nice gift hampers

If i take what cycle gear i buy on a yearly basis...it definitely comes to more than R500/month if you divide it. Problem is that cycling gear has become so expensive that i would be worried that the hampers get smaller and smaller every time

  3. What can work is that they capture your preferences via your account.

They then select randomly the items from that Wish list and surprise you.

So If i have ASSOS Evo bibs in my wish list then maybe they can surprise me a set in my size and colour preference.

Obviously it would need to work out financially for them but then I can at least tell my Wife that Santa delivered the dropper and I could say this with a straight face.

Id just be paying them a portion of my monthly cycling budget and getting a "surprise" .

also the debit order should be linked to "book club" or "Puppy shelter"

Kind of like a Bicycle gear stokvel but with myself and subscription box

R500/month would never cover most things on my wish list  :w00t:

i would only get a box once or twice a year....

  4. This isn't something new. Other sites like Vital have been doing it for ages. And it works well there>

The issue is the contents. If it is something light-hearted and fun then great. Soft-goods, food, cheap, useful and generic parts and the occasional nice, universal item like that Lezyne pump. But things that are too stylized and personal such as shoes/bibs or colour-coded items are not going to be easy to sell.

Good concept, but the implementation needs some adjustment to work out

Now this would work better in my opinion.

    1) You get a box "every" month

    2) The items are generic that everybody can make use of.

    3) The chance to get your monthly goods at a discounted rate.

  5. Morning, apologies... been offline a bit long. I'm afraid a wholesaler wiped out much of our extra stock on these, so what is available online for these items, is it sadly for now. There will though be some plain black and white long sleeves loaded during this week which might be an option. We will be loading most of the remaining stock in the next few days leading up to pay day... there are a good 30-40 items, so should be some nice options for most.

We're also starting to replace the high demand items with new manufactured stock, but these will be full price unfortunately. I also haven't seen any production sheets for Longsleeve Visi's, but thinking about it, they should definitely be in there... I will put in a word.

Thanks again for the support, we know these are tough times for all and it is appreciated

Thanks for the feedback but unfortunately i'm going to have to buy something else in the meantime as i need some kit urgently.

  6. Good morning,

Has anyone purchased the Wahoo products through Sportsman's Warehouse with Vitality rewards depending on your individual % you get back ?

I qualify for 50% back, and I am rather keen to confirm that on a spend of 18k, I will over time with Vitality be able to recover 9k with the reward system at 50%.

Thanks in advance for any confirmation.

    Cheers

    Curbie

From the Healthy Gear Document pg 5:

"When both the principal member and spouse on the Vitality Health programme have a qualifying Discovery Card and use it to pay for HealthyGear purchases, you will earn your boosted Vitality HealthyGear cash back with Discovery Bank on a maximum of R4 000 per month that you spend on HealthyGear items."

  7. Rode Modders on Saturday and have to say that the general trail condition is excellent. The only gripe i have is the amount of walkers and runners that are using the bike trail instead of the walking/hiking trail causes a lot of stop/start and is eventually going to cause an accident when a fast cyclist is using the trail.

Maybe they using the bike trail because it's in better condition than the other trails or maybe they just don't know about the walking/hiking trail. I think better signage would definitely go along way by marking out properly which is which. At the moment the only decent signage is for the bike trails in my opinion.
