With references to the various posts pertaining to the bylaw relating to dogs having to be on leashes, there are parks designated specifically as off leash areas for dogs. A list of them can be found here: https://joburg.co.za/dog-friendly-parks/
That list is so outdated. The newest comment is over 25 weeks old.
It rattles..
The light is removable from teh strap the holds it to the bike, I suspect this is where is rattles, even though its a tight fit.
Its a great "be seen" light, has a flashing mode and 2 constant on modes as well as a light sensing mode where it will turn the light on automatically when it gets dark.
Also has cut outs on the sides where light can shine left and right. Although traditionally mounted on the handle bars your hands/arms block this.
As a "to see" light its just not powerful enough and the light not focused enough, for speeds 25kph and under I suspect it would work, but the higher speed stuff on urban roads it does not cut it.
Then there are the LEDs on the top. 3 bright green LEDs indicating the battery level are way to bright and keep catching your eye every time you look down.
Nice review
Takealot does exactly the same.
and don't forget our favourite online store "ASG"
Digging up an old thread.
Got 2 random Kudos this morning for my commute, one from Brazil the other from New South Wales.
Dont know if I should be worried, profile pics on both of these are old grey haired tannies.
Admirers?
I suppose the pork will end up being called and then BB will have to close because of a social distancing issue etc etc....
I was at BB 2 weekends ago and must say how disappointed i was to see the lack of social distancing as well as the non wearing of masks. It looked as though everybody was back to pre-lockdown living their best lives.
When you even glance at somebody "not" wearing their mask especially in close proximity of food and other people. you get this piercing stare.
You correct it will be a few people that eventually spoil it for the rest of us. Very sad
I think to be honest a spinning bike is a spinning bike. Most of them measure speed, calories and distance so if it's not a spin type that the gym uses (Smart) then it comes down to personal preference on brand.
Kelly at Cycle East in Edenvale Or Rory at Ridgeway Cycles in Stoneridge are nearby and give great service
Aaah now I can’t change my watch face on my Forerunner and upload my steps for the week ????
i was shown the tracking details. It's in PTA. Clearance hold was initiated today.
How long it takes from there to my doorstep remains to be seen.
I had the same issue, was shown tracking details from the courier indicating that my parcel shipped from the UK was in JHB at the depot. Went to collect it myself only to find that the parcel is in actual fact in Kenya. Have no idea what the pilot was doing there. Paperwork for the parcel is in JHB but the parcel is still in Kenya.
Thank you, I will give them a try this weekend. It's actually 25 km at a speed of about 15km/ph
Sorry typo error
Maybe instead of a group try out Big Red Barn and do a few trails there. Generally group rides are going to be longer than 15K's
For those waiting for bibs, and other items, word from ASG is that their shipment is in ZA pending release from customs.
I hope that means i'm getting that bib next week some time. It's only been 2 months.
Don't hold your breathe... most online stores have been saying that for the last 2 months.
Covid-19 knows that a congregation of roughly 50-100 police officers doesn’t apply to their social distancing and they safe????maybe someone needs to point out the 40-50 SAP armored vehicles parked in the field behind Rosemary hill, ( not the scrapyard where you cross the road but out behind towards Rhenoster)
Been there a long time though but evidently the police are very invested in the area.
Hi All,
The wife just told me that Rosemary Hill was closed today by the police for breaking the law. Any idea what happened?
I've gotten to the point with ASG that i removed myself from their mailing list. No use looking at "great deals" if you can't actually get them.
There is still an under water blasting site near the Fish Eagle picnic area that is still being used...very interesting
Rode at Modderfontein this weekend for the first time, well maintained trails, previous complaints as per this thread seems to have been sorted by the new management team.
Also looking forward to the new entrance gate right opposite the trail start as driving on the unmaintained and speed bump infested tar road is a bit of a pain.
On a side note, can anyone advise what the below are? Looks like some sort of bunkers, you quite clearly see them from the trails a couple of times.
As far as i've been told, the bunkers are still being used to store dynamite for a Canadian Explosives company.
You aren’t the only one.
I have an issue with my DQ tracker showing some drives and not showing others (mostly the ones to and back from work. They say my drives are showing on their side, but it’s not showing on the app. They say my wife’s unit isn’t working but her car hasn’t been used much. The more I tell them what’s happening/not happening, the more they say things are fine.
It’s currently sitting with my broker, as I don’t have the time nor patience to argue with a call centre agent.
I've just moved over from Disco Insure and the best move i've ever made! had endless issues with the rewards system as well as allocation of drives.
I've always found the Adidas Terrex range a good go to shoe. They have a wide selection and the pricing isn't too bad. I've had a pair now for 4 years and the soles still look new.
