  1. Remember that a lot of palet wood is treated which is not what you want in a livingroom untreated.(Some nasty stuff) Something else to consider is that wood panelling will make the room feel smaller so if it is a smaller room that wall will close in on you Newly planed or clean sanded pine rapidly changes colour (oxidation) so what was a light pine colour changes to an orangy brown pine Timber suppliers sell 12mm tongue and groove pine panelling. Splitting 22mm pine into 8mm planks is not a viable option Unsealed timber gets dirty very quickly.
  2. Eich !!! No winners here !! BB - shock - pivot - fork - I'm confused ! There are omissions on both sides here. Sirs you are both losers. OP did you buy the Trance new? Won't make Friday.
  3. That stuffs it up for those who are willing to wait and can't afford the courier fees. Have never lost a parcel of many over many years. With SAPO you have to be prepared to wait and now with the post office strike you can add on 4 weeks on top of what it would have been
  4. Kiaat is not uniformly dark like the wood in the chairs Love kiaat sometimes a bit wild though.
  5. 10 to 1 it is Imbuia and Yellow Wood. (the rage at one time) Kiaat tends to be lighter in colour
  6. Contact Quicktint in Maitland they will have what you need.
  7. It has a ridge on the inside (the pipey bit) so the joint centers properly and you need to get rid of the ridge so the whole joint can slide over the pipe. That joint in the picture is what you need. Some do not have the ridge but hardware stores do not always have stock of them.
  8. Saarp file works great. Just use a koki to mark the position beforehand - helps.
  9. Get a straight compression joint from the hardware store. File out the step on the inside of the joint with a round file. Slide completely over the on end and then back it up over the other end - tighten and bobs your uncle
  10. Mistake number 1 - think that all cyclists are like us
  11. Please take note of what Eugene said !! (CPA - consumer protection act)

  14. Should have been one bin every second pole - who screwed up? Usual would have been no bins but contract signed off as completed

For rotary hammer drills you don't go cheap - they are expensive because of the internals. There is an air piston in there. Bosch - Makita or Metabo and that is about it. I bought a Metabo more than 25 years ago and it is still going strong.

  18. Must have been a good father's day today - only two posts for the day make that three.
  19. Found it but that's not fair !!
  20. That's because they can take the heat.
  21. OP's friend is now professional rider !!
  22. Frankly speaking new bikes and components are absurdly priced. When bikers want to upgrade they want to recover some of their costs and it just does not work that way. What goads me is this - guy absolutely trashes say elixer brakes they are just junk and of course upgrades to shimano and places the "junk" for sale but at a price almost the same as what he paid for the shimano's. Nooo. I've been happy with my dealings on bikehub. Been looking for a 26mtb for a while at a FAIR price but not readily available anymore or they are sold by the time I get to the laptop.
  23. . I would not do that.
  24. Tromp - that is a dove-tail jig which you use with a router to make dovetails in the end of a plank. Do you have a router? Go to Youtube
  25. Picture - you never know what you have been missing out on. (Bisquit machine)
