I've been in the cycling industry for more than 15 years. If anyone thinks bike shops makes a killing they are mistaken. The local wholesalers are taking us all for a ride. For the last few years I have been importing most of my own stock. From CRC as well. And I can still sell it cheaper.

Those of you that want to boycot the shops...dont forget about the wholesalers. So no more of the following for all of you... Cyclist should also start to take their safety into their own hands. At some point this group would have turned around, and they would have had the sun shining from the front. What if car rammed into them from behind because he couldnt see? I had a close call this way, so I stay away from the roads during sunrise and sunset.

Buying from CRC is not always moonshine and roses. I bought a set of XT disc brakes. It came without hoses, mineral oil, hose fittings or rotors. just levers and callipers. After I had to buy all those essentials extra it cost me more than it would have been local. If you buy these brakes locally you get everything included.

I just bought a new fox for, slx crank, X0 Rear der and X0 gripshifts from my LBS. Taking vat in consideration it worked me out cheaper than CRC. And I got it installed and a complete service for free. Everytime I buy something big I check CRC prices. And 90% of the time local shops could match the price. So I dont know what the fuss is about.
