  1. Old boys can access the grounds as well as parents as far as I understand. I am an old boy and sent the OSA a message, they sent me a form to fill in and said I would be added to a list. It seems you simply have to have some affiliation to the school which is fair enough. Was an easy enough process but also couldn't find anything on the website.
  2. Not sure what the price will end up being, or when it might reach us but the new Orbea Laufey look very nice!
  3. Do we need our SAS boards for this, spending the night close to the start and managed to forget him at home. Will there be a chance to buy a new one at registration tomorrow morning?
  4. You think Rabon might race with someone else as another support team for Kulhavy and Sauser?
  5. You can fit a bottle cage on, it's just not in the most practice place
  6. Well done Google on taking the series win!! Pity about how things unfolded in the sprint for the race win but taking the overall is awesome!
  7. Ratboy did a proper job with that foot
  8. Really sucks for Josh! After such an awesome season one silly mistake could put a dampener on it all
  9. I've been doing cross fit for about a year now and ya it hasn't exactly improved my riding dramatically, although I do feel it has helped. It has however made me feel like a far more rounded "athlete" ( not even sure I can call myself one at the moment). If you want to be a pro cyclist or take your cycling very seriously then stick to the bike as it will effect your cycling training to some degree. I enjoy it as the place I go is very sociable, with friendly people and a great vibe! As with WrightJnr I feel much stronger, healthier, flexible and just more well rounded physically! As with the injury side, if you don't go in with a massive ego and understand and respect your limits I honestly don't think you will have a problem! Get a proper coach, follow his/ her instructions exactly and don't let you ego get in the way. The only way you'll know for sure is to give it a try
  10. Ruan at spokeworks gets my vote as well!
  11. I think most bike shops would do it for you, especially the smaller ones. Just usually comes out more expensive then buying a complete bike
  12. Yeti SB6c
  13. Hi Rouxtjie I would just like to give my opinion on your post count rule. As you can see I have bearly any posts and have been on the hub for a long time so I'm sure you would label me as your classic "lurker". For me personally the Hub has changed recently and used to be a far more hostile place, others may not agree, everything you said was just ripped apart and a lot of people just tried to turn everything into a massive argument and didn't really help the people on that thread much! This led me to not post as I knew I would just have to sit there defeating what i said against a completely pointless argumement, something I do not have time to do! I just want to reiterate that I feel this mentality has changed lately which is a great thing! I use the hub if I'm looking for specific info or buy or sell something specific, I don't just cruise the classifieds only if I am looking for something specific. Ya I do contribute where I feel I have the knowledge to but to be honest most of these threads are answered with in minutes of a question being asked and the question has been answered in depth. I guess what I'm saying is that people use the hub differently, some use it to chat some use it for strictly functional purposes, I see both as 100% fine to do! Post count isn't always a accurate or fair representation of a persons character or their knowledge! I know your going to say that the more posts the more you can judge that persons character which I guess is fair enough, just wanted to give my opinion
  14. I am currently at school and would love to be able to ride but it is simply not possible for me. This may be a problem that only I have but the amount of luggage the boys at my school arrive with would be impossible to carry on a bike. We all have very heavy school bags, then massive tog bags and most importantly the great lunch box! I do think the whole image aspect plays a part in it but is not such a big part. I think it's more of a fact that it is simply not safe for children to be riding to and from school especially when you consider that most of them, and again this may be confined to be school, have to arrive between 6:30-7 in the morning and only leave when it's getting dark again!
  15. Thanks very much! How long do you think it will take to driver there? And how long to do the 20km loop? I'm no racing snake but consider myself a reasonably strong cyclist
