  1. I only saw this now that you need between R2k-10k in your savings wallet to get monthly points. This is such BS!! The whole idea for me is to save up on my Dischem/PnP, etc cashbacks and then go spend it on a nice treat later in the year.
  2. This exact scenario has crossed my mind countless times. What do you do if you spot a dangerous snake around a corner and it's, virtually, too late to stop early enough? Or just ride right over the snake? My one fear is braking so hard, I come flying over the bars and rugby dive right onto the snake, which I think would guarantee me a bite or two.
  3. It's a bit frustrating that every time I open a new forum page I have log in all over again. Can we PLEASE fix this?
  4. Nothing wrong with multiple opinions either
  5. A cheapish solution might be to go with an Income protect - based on your healthy heart score and active dayz you can get approximately 60% off your monthly premium.
  6. Looked too good to be true, which seriously got my spidey senses tingling. Thanks for the warning!!
  7. Is this site for real? https://technify.co.za/products/garmin-fenix-5-plus-sapphire-multisport-watch https://technify.co.za/products/garmin-forerunner-735xt
  8. Agreed!! VA gym membershit used to be 80% discount and suddenly went to a maximum of R500 off. So for myself going to a flagship VA, I'm having to fork out R600pm - hardly feels like a saving anymore. And with the online shop slowly losing it's appeal by losing it's biggest assets, I hardly see what the value in the Multiply Cash Wallet is going to be.
  9. Ag nee man!! First Cycle Lab/CWC and now Takealot. They keep removing the ones that benefit the user and hurt them most. Netflorist will still be a partner in 2050
  10. *fixed it for you

  12. I saw him sitting there at the waterpoint when we got there. He did not look to be in a good place and that wrist looked scary. There were a LOT of crashes and people just bailing midway through a rocky section. I feel for the youngsters who missed the 25km split and ended up on the 44km path on Saturday
  13. Agreed!! This was a proper event and value for money with all the other festivities around. It is some serious riding you do in those 3 days. I will have to remember to bring my climbing legs next time
  14. Luckily I am on Private club already, as I have a few Momentum products that have helped me get there. Question is, is it possible to get to Private Club if you only have 1 Momentum product plus Multiply?
  15. Not quite sure under what type of bike you would classify this, but I'm sure if Batman rode an mtb, it would look something like this
  16. I am not 100% sure which exact trails they use in the Durbie Dash mtb race in the 45km and 60km races. I think with those trails you will have a decent base for singletrack riding and with your K2C fitness, there shouldn't be much hassle in doing the 45km race. 1800m elevation on singletrack is a bit tougher than doing it on jeep track
  17. Tough one to answer - are you familiar with any of the Tygerberg trails? What singletrack riding have you done before at other locations?
  18. Sadly I realise this is exactly the state of affairs. I'm also fully aware that if I do come across such a situation that I will be faced with 2 options... Keep my distance and be safe or if I decide to help, I might just end up murdering the perp in a fit of built up rage. And with that comes a whole sequence of events I'd rather never want to experience
  19. Agreed. This sounds like the same place as last week's episode. Just after Makro on Plattekloof Rd/N7 bridge near the street vendors selling their furniture. What I really don't get though is how busy this road is around 8h00 with traffic
  20. Ag FFS That road is full of traffic this time of day There goes my training route from home.

  22. I stay in Milnerton and ride through here on my way to Conties and everywhere else on weekends. Been avoiding Parklands/N7 side like the plague for the last 2 years since hearing about numerous attacks in the area. I spoke with a cycling buddy recently who also said he's starting to feel nervous around the Makro area as of late. Gatvol does not even begin to describe how I feel.
  23. So apparently this happened just on the other side of the N7 bridge on Plattekloof Road.
  24. CT Cycle Route Safety FB page only has this: Cyclist was stabbed in his hand and robbed of his bicycle on the cycle path between Sunset Beach and the Paddocks this afternoon, bystanders managed to get his bike back. Please be vigilant when you are out cycling in the area. Do you perhaps know around what time this happened? There's usually a few vagrants seen in the bushes on the side of the road, nesting there.
  25. Some minor good news, although there is still a very long way to go... How one person has caused so much hurt and damage before being caught is crazy. https://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/man-faces-10-counts-for-reign-of-terror-in-table-mountain-national-park-20190902
