This was my point in the last thread on this topic. I got to watch the SA champs there only because I positioned myself to hear of it. I spend way to much time in bike shops. The orchid show at the town hall gets more visibility than the track events. I also wonder what the cost of the velodrome is in relation to usage.

It looks like a clear impact mark; I am swayed to say that it is accident damage. The hole in the story begins when the LBS didn't recognize this defect in the intermittent repairs. I consider that a serious oversight and therefore partial liability. This damage should have been an issue at service #1 end of Jan.

Some real die-hards out there. The weather was really, really bad last night.

And another thing... last year I sat there for all 4 days at the SA champs. It was fantastic ! The madison was brilliant. Everything was just exhilarating. I can't remember how I found out about it, but I will say that it was a really inconspicuous tidbit of info that fell my way. The marketing of track cycling needs to gear up and the venue needs to be put to use often and cleaned up of all the pigeon shot. I think there are more church gatherings there than cycling events.

Only now do I hear that the German Olympic team was training there. Why was that not common knowledge darnit !!!???!!!

A mere 15 minutes should never be a problem if it means keeping a customer. Just look what 15 minutes has cost. There may well be a minefield of reasons that things took the turn that they did. I dont know if you have given them a chance to explain their circumstances before actioning this thread.
