A lekker beer ???? before the ride and depending on distance but another about at 45km and 1 more 5km from the end for that last sprint ???? have done this test at Bloemendal, do first lap no beer then 1 beer per lap. You will be amazed at how your times improve but best you know your limits. I am good for 6 laps after that I start taking chances ????????

I used the Giro Fixture mips, good value. Now using a Scott Vivo plus. Both good for all day riding, good coverage and both properly crash tested ????

With how the economy is you would think places would take better care of their customers and keep their quality high. I now drive much further back to the shop I used to support when I lived in Bellville because of a similar issue. Bikes went in to new local shop and cost more than double what I was told which isn't the problem, but both had issues that wasn't there before. After the 3rd return I went back to my old shop and all sorted first time!

I am close to your weight. I am currently running 2.4 Ardent front and 2.2 Ikon rear on 30mm ID rims with pressure 20-22 psi (+-1.5bar) front and 22-24 psi (+-1.6bar) rear. I like working with psi it's smaller differences. O and I am on a HT. Schwalbe tyres needs more pressure rear as they are super thin.

Lekker suffer fest today, don't know if we did extra loop or wrong turn, but the distance and elevation was not even close. About an extra 15km and 400m elevation more.

not sure about hardcore, has nice jumps and you can carry some serious speed down there since it's been re-done.

Saturday morning the wind was not playing. Going up Conties side the head wind was so strong it felt like I was going to wheelie up the hill. I wonder does the wind bother the 60-70kg racing snakes or are they so small the wind misses them? ????️????
