  1. No big surprise. Been a long time coming. Don't know why they have left it till the last minute to start looking for a new title sponsor. With this year being an economic catastrophe, going to be extremely difficult to get new sponsorship.
  2. This. Just need to pull my finger on starting the rebuild.
  3. Prediction for today is for Bhora to try and rip the race apart for one last attempt at Green?
  4. Thinking that today could be a day where a lot of the sprinters could be worried about the OTL cut off.
  5. And yet again no one from NTT in the break
  6. See Ashleigh is putting in a good performance as well. Deserves a
  7. What would be awesome would be a lone Saffa break (Impey and Gibbons). Maybe just a pipe dream, but would still be good

    I'm out

You WILL be back. I had a similar route many years back. Rode numerous Arguses in the 1990's. Got tired of the cycling and returned to my running roots early 2000's. Completed multiple Two Oceans, comrades until the knees started telling me they had had enough. Returned to cycling in 2010 when by brother had arranged a ride over the Prince Alfred Pass for his 40th Bday and have never looked back. As others have mentioned, it is in your blood. Enjoy the running exploits.

  10. Time to add some bling to the bike:
  11. Glad to see that Gibbons managed to finish as rode with his dad yesterday morning and it was touch and go as to wheher he would be on the start line.
  12. Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring
  13. The end result: Oval 38T front, existing 11-32 rear.
  14. Thats what you back pockets are for
  15. Simple alternative is to head out after lunch. Less conjestion and perfect for working on the all important cycling tan
  16. Couldn't agree more. Have been avoiding the cradle the last few months but with my brother being up from George, we decided to head out there yesterday. It was an absolute **** show. I know it has also been discussed at length before, but what really grinds me are the number of single riders with supposed 'support' vehicles following them and causing inconvenience to others. Can understand if it is a club or group. That said, still had a good ride and I guess as mentioned, there are assholes that feel they own the road and spoil it for the rest of us but we just need to be extra vigilant.
  17. You are never too old. My old man is also 78 and still riding. Our Saturday morning ritual is to do a +/- 15km ride with a good coffee afterwrds
  18. Son has exactly the same. Also the trigger shift is far better than the grip shift.
  19. +1 for EvoBikes
  20. looks interesting. Considering 94.7 will probably not happen this year, might be a good option
  21. See that she has just embarked on her cross Iceland Journey. Looks awesome
  22. Happy for Gibbons that he made the starting line up. Always nice to see the national jersey displayed on the world tour stage. Lets hope the guys can cause a few upsets. Wishing them the best of luck.
  23. We have a Venter Trailer that is probably close to 30 years old and still going strong. Most of them are specially coated for rust protection but have had to do the odd touch up with some spray paint. Other than that, only other repair was replacing the bearings a few years ago.
  24. Was gearing up for a sprint finish with Sagan. Just pipped him to the post
  25. Apparently the Quick Step manager is pushing for criminal charges. Looking at the finish of todays stage, one can expect more carnage. Hope to god that I am wrong?
