  1. Thanks, will rather give it a skip then and try some other time when I get a different lens.
  2. I probably know the answer but I have to ask... Is it even worth it to attemp to capture the moon tonight if all I have is an 18-55 lens? Would I get something useable if I crop the hell out of it?
  3. Have you posted on the event's Facebook page?
  4. I fully agree with you, man that macro 100mm L lens from canon is probably on my top 5 things I want. The images from that looks so good and I like the fact that I can use it for both macro and portrait photography. I own a 700d with the kit lens, however I must say the photos I get from it is amazing for me. I even used it at the uci xc world champs in Stellenbosch and I got some pretty good shots although it isn't a fast lens at all.
  5. Could not agree more, only wish I had the time to go out and take pictures more often.
  6. For me photography is great fun, I like the challenge of trying to find that one shot that would make my photo different from the rest. I am still in the learning phases though, trying to learn everything I can about photography and my camera. Still rocking the kit lens, but I want to learn on it before deciding on what to get next.
  7. Thanks, I am pretty sure my rims don't look like that, will have to double check tonight.
  8. How would I know if I have Mk3 rims?
  9. Jonkershoek today, still some snow on the peaks. Rivers flowing nicely.
  10. I emailed a few people including Silverback, they all confirmed that you cannot run a dropper internally, the pivot takes up the whole seattube. One person did mention the extreme of drilling a small hole to get the cable external an then route it into the Di2 hole at the bottombracket. My solution is going to be runnig a Lyne external dropper with the cable running into the Di2 hole at the bottombracket and out the hole at the headset. I have a 2x10 groupeet, otherwise I would just use the front derailleur cable mount on the downtube. Edit: I also plan on getting cabletie mounts an glue them to the seattube in order to not put cableties around the frame just to make it look neat.
  11. Barry Smith contacted me as well today, the same message asking to send him an email to barry4smith02@gmail.com, number 0744300208. Did not even bother responding, also from a gumtree ad. Will report to Gumtree doubt it will help though.
  12. Will the frame accept an internal dropper post? It looks as if there might be a hole on the downtube, what is that for?
  13. Firehut 1 is the lowest section, with Firehut 3 being the top section. Check your pm's Edit: I see now that on Strava Firehut is listed from the top as 1, 2 and 3. at Jonkershoek the trail markers mark them from the bottom upwards as 1, 2 and 3.
  14. Start on the circle route, go over the bridge and straight past the gate, once through the gate take the left road up (I think it is marked as quarry route). Continue with the climb until you get to a jeep track that turns sharp right and just go up there. You will get to Firehut 1 and if you continue upwards you will reach Firehut 2.
  15. Close up of the Kleinplaas dam in Jonkershoek
  16. Where were these pictures taken? especially the one with the large rocks on the banks?
  17. Is it safe to go over Helshoogte from Stellenbosch to Franschhoek again? I have been meaning to ride there again, but after the last few attacks a while back I haven't been there.
  18. Edit: small text fixed.
  19. Thank you for your valuable input, I have read the forum here and there, but will take my time to go through it all. For now I have settled with a manual grinder, I don't mind the work it takes to use the grinder as I make one cup daily. I was amazed by the change in flavour and bitterness by being able to fine tune the grind to my liking, so far I tested a few different fine settings working back from where the machine struggled to produce a shot.
  20. That's too bad, I had the same motherboard and PSU in my gaming pc. The liquid-cooled CPU looks super clean. Unfortunately, I had to sell my pc and buy a laptop for mobility reasons, luckily I can still play BF4.
  21. Looks nice!! Do you still play BF4?
  22. Stellenbosch: Ride In, Vida Cafe, Häzz for all your coffee needs, not in any particular order just places I tend to frequent.
  23. That was my idea, but based on the advice received here I am going to save up a bit and shop around for a better second-hand grinder. Are there coffee specific sites where I can look of perhaps a facebook page I can follow where people buy and sell coffee specific products.
  24. I have a kenwood espresso machine. It uses a pressurized portafilter, it is a simmilar machine to a Saeco Poemia. Sometimes I would get a good shot from it depending on the grind of the beans. All coffee shops use a different grind so it is sort of a gamble what I'm going to get if I try out a new shop.
