Planning on riding today at Kyalami but clouds are building..... Will they close track if its raining?

Wanna start at M&B and go south to Emmerentia.... WOW so you can go quite far North as well then.... sounds like an adventure awaits

Hi guys, Keen to extend my Spruit ride. Currently I ride from Bryanston but would like to start from Witkoppen all the way to Emmerentia Is it possible to ride all the way from there? Or do you have to get off Spruit and back on?

Try find something with 105 minimum....

My first road bike was a Merida 905... excellent bike!! whats the groupset? to me, thats most important on budget bikes...

i still cannot decide.... I want a new bike but cant decide whether the 29" is more important than the carbon. Price the same Groupset the same 29" is the new thing, but Carbon has its advantages... I ride Spruit, Groenkloof and Van Gaalens Opinions?

Yeah I feel your pain.... I get stressed out if I don't have communication. Very paranoid whenever buying something online from an unknown source.... Best thing you can do is like TheV said and call etc first

Let's be clear, I did not wish anything bad on them.... Purely stating how these things tend to end up. What I do wish on them and every other cyclist is to be aware of how they affect the attitude of motor vehicle drivers when they ride like "tjops" and the negative impact it has on cycling in SA.....

I just did my BMI and it comes in at 23.5 25 you are considered overweight yet I'm considered skinny by everyone and still wanna lose 6 KG's for the summer cycling season. Do these formula's vary? No I did not. With my wife and daughter in the car I didn't think it wise. Nothing good would come of it either if I were alone and did confront them. Too often people respond aggressively.

You are the reason motorists get annoyed with cyclists. You think riding 3 abreast is conducive to your well being? One day someone will have that all to familiar road rage we experience in SA. I am a road cyclist and often ride the cradle myself, and let me tell you, I understand why motorists do not tolerate cyclists anymore... You are just inconsiderate! Taking up the whole lane on a single carriage and with no care in the world with the cars behind trying to gap it past onto oncoming traffic Do us a favour and take up golf if you gonna ride like a bunch of chops!!

I'm in the same boat.... Mates are soft and riding from Conrad drive to emmarentia is considered a hard outing for them ... Hehe I know the group rides section on the forum exists, but not sure how much it's used. I ride gorenkloof alone and if I'm on the road will do cradle alone as well.... I find there are enough people on the routes incase of mechanical or injury issue. Spruit I won't do alone but from Conrad drive its safe.

I'm really keen to do it next year, what is recommended regarding type of bike? Full sus 26" ok or a hard tails better? Im no pro.. But worried about weight of full sus. By next year will probably have moved to a 29" .... Wife permitting hehe
