  1. Due for refund. SARS assessment correct. But flagged for audit. Round 1. Supporting docs uploaded. Now to wait 21 working days ... and then probably the audit will be escalated ... for round 2 and another 21 working days. And maybe even round 3. NOTE TO SELF: Rather short-pay than over-pay provisional. Pay the penalty interest instead. Make the money work harder in my hands. Once in SARS coffers, they deem it theirs.
  2. My money's where my mouth is. A mate and me are 2:1. Let's just say I pray the Cheetahs win.
  3. I'm looking forward to the CC semi's tomorrow, because it will be evenly matched for a change. No more worries about SA vs NZ vs AUS vs ARG (national or Super Rugby). Cheetahs vs Lions? Well, I'm a Cheetah through thick and thin. My blood is orange. WP vs Bulls? WP, I've been living in the Cape long enough. A Cheetahs vs WP final in Bloem will be just perfect.
  4. I'll stick my neck out and say you're half right. But some things you can't coach like raw talent. All a coach can do is nurture that talent BUT within a framework of a game plan which needs to adapt on-field in response to numerous variables such as the opposition, the conditions, the ref, etc.
  5. http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/goosen-named-best-top-14-player-20161011 I say again, raw rugby talent. My first choice for Boks at 10, even with a fit Pollard or Lambie, or an in-form Elton. It's a disgrace how he was dropped for Willie on the bench when Lambie came back.
  6. So. Boktimistic or All Bleak? My blood is green (for the time being!).
  7. 2 Backline subs coming home to roost you say? Try this! A left wing at right wing. A scrumhalf at left wing. An outside centre at inside centre. A flyhalf at fullback (although I'd keep him there!) And a backline coach younger than 35 who's only ever coached bottom-of-the-log provincial teams
  8. Yip. He may have been brittle early in his senior career, but he's a raw talent.
  9. I've said it since last year when Pollard was fit before World Cup. If you want raw talent and BMT, then it can only be Lambie at 15 and Goosen at 10. Everything else is a side show.
  10. mmmmm ..... pushed or jumped, I wonder?
  11. World class performance. Somehow Allister just can't bring the same out of him, like Ackermann can.
  12. Vote on Wed 3 public holiday. Get in car. Thurs leave. Fri leave. Mon leave. Tues public holiday That's Wed PM - Tues PM - happy days. That's what a crowd of us are doing
  13. Best in SA? I'd say so. Went there after Knysna MTB earlier this month. Loved it so much we're going back there again next week!
  14. Where is that?
  15. I'm also looking forward to the next 3 weeks to see the best teams play, but unfortunately therein lies my problem with the new Super Rugby format. Previously, I saw the best teams against each other, week in and week out. Now I have to wait 5 months to see them play once-off against each other in a knock-out? mmmmmm ... not to sure. They'll have to rethink the model and number of teams, or revenues and viewership will drop even further.
  16. Couldn't agree more. And in those few games I did watch, the ref seemed to always crook (where's BigH now?).
  17. Late afternoon ride from Melkbosstrand to Koeberg and back.
  18. Garden Route Trail Park between Knysna and Sedgefield. The best trails and most scenic setting ever. Didn't have time to attempt the loop ...
  19. Just spent two days playing around on the trails at Garden Route Trail Park, after the Knysna MTB.. Probably the most fun I've had in four hours on my MTB. Nothing else comes close to it in my opinion as I'm not really into heavy technical stuff. Maybe because I'm also very unfit at the moment. Beautiful setting, km's of flowing single track and excellent facilities. My new #1 ahead of Welvanpas and Sani day 2 Umko.
  20. 1) Habana - maybe for skills transfer whilst still good enough. Not JP 2) Bismarck - no, we've got enough talent domestically 3) Goosen - same page, a real talent to exploit 4) Brussow - we'll have to agree to disagree, world-class 5) Burger - thank goodness we agree (but Kolisi must step up to the plate!)
  21. Wasn't me - I promise. http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/Springboks/5-players-coetzee-could-call-on-20160627
  22. Although I must add I don't believe we've got the right team to support AC. Van Graan has been very stereotyped since his days together with HM, and respectfully Mzwnadile Stick has got no proven coaching credentials or experience of the 15-man game to speak of. England beat Australia because of a seasoned campaigner like Eddy Jones. It would be naive to think that experience doesn't count for something.
  23. 15 Wille 4/10 should have been red carded, opposition have worked out his X-factor 14 Ruan 6/10 starved of possession, but signs of promise 13 Lionel 6/10 hasn't carried Super Rugby form into Bok jersey, deserves better inside partner 12 Damien 4/10 apart from his try last week, he's been nowhere all season 11 JP 7/10 made me eat humble pie, but I'd still prefer to see us building for 2019 10 Elton 5/10 poor kicking options under pressure and can't defend a channel, not my no 10 9 Faf 8/10 showing great signs to make the jersey his, but can't kick into box, two game saving moments 8 Warren 6/10 didn't do anything wrong and must start ahead of Duane, clearly under orders not to contest breakdown 7 Siya 5/10 another example of not being able to transition from Super rugby to international rugby, high work rate but ineffectual 6 Flow 6/10 one of his better games for a while, although still average at the breakdown (although clearly been told not to contest and risk penalties) 5 Pieter-Stef 8/10 my man of the match, was everywhere in the tight and lose 4 Eben 4/10 has also not been on form, work rate down not making same physical impression 3 Frans 6/10 best game of the series thus far, good scrums and better discipline 2 Adriaan 5/10 nothing wrong but also not the same carrier and breakdown proponent we know 1Beast 5/10 has lost his dominance in the scrum all season, could be on borrowed time Notable Subs 17 Steven made a huge impact at loosehead, needs a starting spot (replace Beast) 19 Franco made me realise Eben was missing in action, needs a starting spot (replace Eben) 20 Jaco finally got his cap and showed why he's the best loosie in SA at the moment, needs a starting spot (replace Flo)
  24. A bit like Danie Rossouw - on the day a world beater, but more often than not below average. But take nothing away from JP, he's been up there since 2006. And maybe that's the point ... it is 2016 already.
  25. Agree. Only change I'd make to the starting 15 is Mvovo instead of JP. The latter was world class, but is past his sell-buy date in my opinion. I'd really be building NOW for RWC 2019, and not short-term results.
