  1. Did the conversion and also had same issues, read all there is to read done all there is to be done. It worked fine for the first few weeks then bang it lost the plot. It wears to quickly and at different rate to SRAM.. Got rid of it and went back to 11/36, just train more.........
  2. Been down in bed for 3 days this week with a sore throat and generally feeling like a dead person. Even with all above remedies I still had to see dock and get real meds................( Still not working though.
  3. Running a 27/40 Rotor Rings.
  4. I've been running this cassette on a 2x10 setup for a while now, got one of the first ones off the line, really love it. Rarely use the small blade BUT when the legs are tired its nice to know there is a easy set on tap. To me it's really the way to go......
  5. Known Koos from the CycleLab days and he is a real nice guy, done a few rides with him and he always is a lekker guy on the rides. We wish him well and a speedy recovery. BTW it's real @&$ that cyclist are hit like this in our country. Makes me kwaad!!!
  6. I ride reg there on my own and with mates, one thing is for sure there are way more SAPS riding around there than at Groen or Fount or Voort......... just saying.

As far as i know there is the Down and Dirty crowd from Irene Mall at 7 on Thursday night and the Parkview Night Riders from Parkview also on Thursday nights.
  9. I was wondering how long SA Seeding was still going to be rebuilding the website and when Advendurance can post series results. Can anybody shed some light on the subject, pleeeaaassseee.
  10. So how important is it to see a dentist, have your car serviced or buy the right size shoe.. Have it done by a pro and then from there the apps and your own can get a feeling.
  11. Ag no! We rode there last week. I think the activity has increased since they started building the new resvoir on the hill. Keep us posted on your mates condition.
  12. By the sounds and number of complaints here, it would seem there are some riders who feel they can do better than the Advendurance crew. Go try. Fritz and his gang have taken the numbers of people onto bikes and made a series that caters for all levels. Some races are tougher than others, some are messy, but hey go try do it yourself. The event are popular and over sold just about every time. go figure. I did the 70 and yes there were hickups, but if you wanna race then be calm and work around the problems..........simple really.
  13. Agreed Jagwill. Did the 70 and there were a few slow points but hey get off the bike and run past on the hills. It all fun anyhow. Besides one day them slower ones could be chasing us..................
  14. Any idea when and were the results are going to be.
  15. Helpmytrap. Huge respect for waiting with the lady that crashed. We ride with her and she looked eina. Bud again well done hope we can help you some day.........not crashing but maybe a arb flat wheel.
  16. Its irrelavant how hard you go.......the recovery method ie nutrition, stretch, physio etc is more important. At day 3 or so the playing feilds are level.
  17. Who are the On One Agents in Gauteng.
  18. +1 Asshole should not consider ever moaning or trying to complain on the Hub ever, if you cannot take resposibility for your own actions. We all can get upset with cars but to damage and ride away is cowardly.
  19. The missus also had a small fall that put a hole in here first ride Assos...... ouch its a small hole that needs repair.
  20. Gotta luurrvve these threads on Van Gaalens, all moan and groan. Yes it was tough but i was not aware that we ride on paved, smooth, singletrack that is loaded with water points every km and we are served with ladies or gents that are in perfect condition that stand in airconditioned little rooms waiting to serve us the coldest bestets drinks of all time......... blah blah blah. Pump your wheels and move on
  21. Intially went from 26" full suss to 29" htail, loved it. Now have both and are equal amounts of fun. For one day bend the limits take the hardtail and when you go multi day stages racing take softail - a full suss 29er is sooooooooooooooo comfy. If you only can have one then a 29er htail is good
  22. Stop thinking and buy it. Been on them for 2 years and cannot see why we need 26" anymore
  23. Its sad that more and more of us are riding with weapons, at this rate in future its going to the same as buying a high performance car and trying to ensure it................ One of the questions on the insurance aplication" Have you attended any form of anti bikejacking or similiar training,.......aditiinal information will be copy of your firearm competancy certificate
  24. Easiest way to get clearance to ride.................. Ask her if she wants to join, some times she will say yes then you go, but more than likely she will say no then you go - problem solved. When it comes to races, "sorry honey but i HAVE to race as i have been training", she will recalled all the invites and will simply say yes
  25. Stay away from Fox F29 RLC 15QR 2010 model, if you can get a 2009 one then yes. The 2010 model is really rubbish. I need to buy another one to replace this one, you cannot ride mnore than 50km before its gets hard and become rigid, have tried serviceing etc, but no luck.
