  1. Yep saw it.......seems a bit watered down, trying to say a lot but very little.. Still say sort the mess out properly. Man up to your actions......
  2. Page 47 and still no reply from Cycle Science.......holy wak never have I seen such resolute a decision to get screwed over in public....... Really guys man up and sort out, I am even thinking of driving there from Ptown just to go see what they look like......lol.
  3. If I was the bike shop owner...by now I would have banging on a door to give him a new bike take my fake back and then sort the shiet out, instead of this getting too public. Makes for better marketing than what's happening now.
  4. Aw right......it's easy to complain about roadies coming along to mtb and making waves......buuuuut.....Argus who was leading up to Suikerbossie, who started the sprint and how many mtb"ers were in the finishing bunch.......wat nou manne. It's a free for all. Let's race in each other's backyards and have fun.
  5. Being leaner and having a light bike makes you look fast and feel fast.........ride as best you can eat were you are are comfy and ride a bike that you like......as long you feel good it's ok. Too much factual overload - as above will just make trouble, and bring out the popcorn
  6. Putting the Evins incident aside there are soooo many other offenders that are simply overlooked in mtb racing that this could be the start of politics in our sport. I cannot recall who this year was also given a penalty for littering, if that's the case then a few other teams should get some time fines as well, Ladies Team RECM, dropped litter in full view of TV.........no penalty..Sauser also did a little short cut......... Sadly this leaves a sour taste in the sport..
  7. This was gonna be a "pop corn" thread from the word go...........but let's give CL at least some credit for trying. What ever the intentions are they tried.....the debate will go on for a long time still.
  8. Hey guys we need to stop bashing here, according to the results the Marathon was won by a lady from the 3rd batch with a average speed of 44.8 km. we dodging the point here.......
  9. The results are a mess...........they said on the day that times would be up by last night. Today there are two sheets for marathon, one is in incomplete the other mixes ladies and men.......my results are not even on.......aaaaaarrrrggghh. So many if did not win BUT we would really like to know how we did..
  10. IMO this clearly shows the incompetence of the system, they take whatever method they choose to decide on vehicle, when in fact there is already in place system with the existing toll roads, just shows that some clever foreign dude made this choice and our Sanral said yes sir three bags full sir............. This also flies in the face of the enatis system that's already in place....... It's lekker messy.....
  11. Nooooooo bru. Wash em after the ride by hand gently if you want them to last, and air dry in house not a tubule dry.
  12. Been on Rotor rings for 3 years and when I ride normal blades it's like a pogo stick.......each to their own though I won't go back to normal.. All my bikes have em on MtB and Road bikes, simply love the smooth stroke they give. Am I faster or stronger I dunno, but the ride is more fun and smooth.
  13. Has anyone got one of those downloaded mtb race schedules that I can download straight into my calendar on the iPad. Got one last year was awesome.
  14. I think the phrase being "socially competitive" comes to mind. It don't matter what size you are imagine if you did not ride and sat on the couch watching, then you would be very much bigger.........not an option. I weigh average and I take my hat off to you bigger folks out on bikes, whether it's road or mtb, I don't matter it takes HUGE balls and courage to go out there and race, albeit it catch up. Keep riding boet.....
  15. Nothing beats a good lbs.
  16. So all bike shops have good days and some bad, BUT when they have loads of good days it's really awesome. It should also be a place to go to have a coffee and talk some bikes and have fun..........I've been a really great fan of Epic Sports in PTA. The Cordes brothers and their team have given me great service and loyalty in the past. They showed again today why I go back time and time again.
  17. Bought a plane ticket for the ex to leave town for good...............leaves me enough time to enjoy the mtb and road bike, yay
  18. Use their stems and seat post, had them for nearly a year on my hard tail no issues yet.
  19. Who can I take my Chris King hubs to for a rebuild, need someone reall good that knows them well.
  20. The mood is actually quite lekker to watch in that yes mid week there are some peeps feeling really sorry for themselves, added with some real bandaged up folks but you don't wanna miss the last two days cause then the end is in sight, it's like two days of the last night of a shorter stage race.....the start though is really special but for the last few years the first day or two are hectic wake up calls make it through them and then a diff day 5 is just another loooonnnggg day. It remains a great experience.
  21. Wow......seems that we must be real carefull of the exact words and phrases used in our posts. The factual police are watching. Lol..lol.. Not hijacking the thread just saying, no need to get all too serious here..
  22. Done it on hard tails and dual sus, not sure which one I enjoyed the most. But interesting fact from the team at the bum clinic, they reckon the majority of bum, saddle, rear issues are from dual sus riders, seems they sit the whole day.........
  23. The package of MTB is really cheap in the long run. The fitness and what comes with it unreal. I'm fitter now than I was 20 years ago. Choose what you wanna do and by accordingly. My training bike is a alu full sus that I work on myself. To date this year spent only R3500 on it, and yes it ridden 2-3 a week.. Race bike costs more but it the races and the fact that you go over everything, through everything and have no regard for damage until finish line.......my choice though..
  24. Back in the late eighties and early nineties I was a Cop stationed in the east and what this Captain says he is gonna do clearly shows the ineptness of the SAPS. I had two trucks and trailers stolen some time ago, the genius cop says to me unless I bring him a suspect he not gonna do anything.................go figure. It's real sad that we live in such a lekker place but are held ransom from time to time by criminals and cops who cannot identify them and take action. Sadly my faith in the SAPS is ZERO....... Enough ranting,
