  1. So sorry, so difficult when a pet dies and even harder when its not from old age.
  2. Ha ha.I had somebody turn up for an interview quite clearly drunk. It was at 10 in the morning. They didn't get the job......
  3. When will you be holding your next beginners class in JHB? Thank you
  4. Hard to believe that he was only 23 when he killed himself.
  5. Very apt. Quite liked Love and Rockets but never quite lived up to Bauhaus.
  6. Can't stand any form of cruelty to animals. It's just horrific. Karma indeed.
  7. No. It was a club only open on Saturday nights on Pritchard St in Jhb. I am not sure how long it was open for as I think I caught the tail end of it before it closed. Beyond dodgy is a very polite description ????
  8. Started at Subway ( embarrassingly young), then Le Club, occasionally Club Images (punk stage ????) then The Doors. Never a big Junction fan. Went back to UK for a bit so missed a few years here in Jhb so think I missed quite a few clubs.
  9. I think people were generally nice with some exceptions which is always the case. The Doors in Marshall St was legendary ???? also there were other good clubs as well.
  10. I agree. I don't remember fights really that often. I remember the night The Doors got raided by the police due to a liquor licence dispute and the police were a little heavy handed trying to force everybody to leave the club.
  11. Hope you and your wife kept photos from back then My young son had to go to school with 'monster hair' for a team thing, he was absolutely amazed at how well and quick his Mum could do hair that had spikes
  12. Ha ha I think I will be one of those old fogies.... I remember my goth stage, also remember that my boyfriend at the time could do his eyeliner better than I did. Eek my poor parents!!!
  13. I have to agree that it was brilliant then. Maybe because I was living in England then and music is intrinsically linked to my good memories, yet I was in Manchester in the whole Madchester time but never really enjoyed Oasis, Stone Roses etc.
  14. Thanks, I stopped all caffeine for quite a few years because of the children so only really started drinking tea and coffee again after that. Never really liked strong coffee so still prefer the milder ones.
  15. Oh dear, feeling like a bit of an eejit to admit that I enjoy my Nespresso machine coffee.....
  16. Thanks for posting it for me.
  17. I cant seem to post the link but it was a classic - Paranoid - Black Sabbath. I will try again later. I took my children to see Angry Birds and the song was in it, nice surprise on a Saturday morning
  18. Great, thanks so much. Will be going there next month to get some spices then.
  19. Kind of off topic but did you perhaps notice if the spice man still has a stall at the monthly markets at Uncle Tim's?
  20. Lamb curry, perfect lunch for today's weather.
  21. I remember this so well from Le Club days . Age give away I know ????
  22. I was having a look last night. Wow! Joy Division, Nirvana, J & M Chain, Metallica, Smashing Pumpkins etc..... Thank you A blast from the past with fond memories of a mispent youth at concerts and in various dark and dingy clubs.....
  23. If I had to post a selfie of me on my bike, it would probably be on the ground in a tangle with my bike or hitting a tree as that seems to be quite often.
