  1. Dont know if we dont now their name
  2. Darryl Fitzgerald +27 83 225 3617 Craig Uria +27 82 559 9998 Both are very capable.
  3. GTR1 is pretty spot on on his post. Elton is and was under qualified and educated on the job at hand that is required for Olympic level. It showed and then there is the rest.
  4. This was never going to take place all week. Not sure why many are suprised it was cancelled. they should of made this call on Wednesday already
  5. They have basically done a gutting and replacing in all departments
  6. Any idea if the other ladies racing sent out a condolences to Emma and backed her or they just happy they moved up a spot?
  7. One would think that the lead car would know the route. But here we are. Its typical in SA road races for lead cars to go wrong. Its actually pathetic and this is not even a CSA person, its the Organiser of the event. I feel (and me only) that Emma was done wrong but it is what it is.
  8. I have it on good authority that this would not be training smarter.
  9. Correctly said. You learning.????
  10. the size of the peloton and team cars and officials, ambulances etc some team cars are so back you dont see the race all day and is sometimes 2km back. asking a rider to come back and forth and then still go back to the team mates with tactics and info isnt gonna happen more than once or twice its not SA.
  11. yes analytics and data is useful post race from fatigue, nutrition and so forth.
  12. It won’t make a difference at racing if they ban a power meter, pros know what X watts feel like.
  13. Not defending anyone but sounds like his crash here was the biggest variable in him stopping and what is a pill? Paracetamol? Caffeine? My take home from reading some points in the article is that he lost the knack and balls to get stuck in, nothing wrong with that atall, it happens and the peloton is a crazy place but he was simply not into it, regardless of any apparent pills. " I crashed last year in Randers Bike Week," he told Feltet.dk. The event is a four-day race for all levels of amateurs and professionals. "The crash itself was at high speed, but I didn't hurt myself too badly. But in my head it was much worse than it really was." ""Then it all went wrong at the 2020 Danish championships, where I ... sat too far back because I was too cautious. Then I just stood there on the side of the road with my mum and dad. The next day I called Sunweb and said I didn't want to continue there, even though they had talked to me about an extension. I had to go home." "I was actually in good shape for the upcoming season this year, but when we reached the first race, I was just completely switched off mentally and was actually scared. I don't know what caused it. The pattern repeated itself afterwards, where I was going strong in training, but as soon as I got a number on my back it went the wrong way, where I was afraid of crashing." "I lacked motivation. Suddenly going to work was fun, and then maybe going out to train on a January night in Copenhagen wasn't so fun. It's not very exciting to train in Copenhagen. I'm used to training around Roskilde, where my parents live and it's really nice, but here it's just the same main roads," he said.
  14. Finishing bottle - High volume of caffeine for that kick at the end.
  15. Some info: Kit: You have to ride in team kit as long as you being paid by that team regardless of if you moving on the following year. As long as a contract is valid you wear the clothes. The Bike: Often you can ride the new teams bike if you moving on, however, you need put in a request and get clearance from the current team to do so. Often they do say yes and you return your team bike and ride the new bike (spez in this case) in your teams kit. This is no uncommon at all. Doesn't look like this happened. The measure taken is harsh but I see the point but also possibly saving 2 months wages at the same time as a get out clause.
  16. there is no requirement for a Conti team to have to pay riders unlike Pro and World Tour. Guys race for 2 sets of kit and good luck if they win a National title and have to get new kit made.
  17. Training smarter would involve everything you have said above.
  18. Have many athletes who can only afford to do the 10-12hr and fair just fine at epic. have had many of their partners or ride groups make fun on them and critique that they need 20hr weeks and 6hr rides to complete epic and then themselves not finish, battle and go worse than the 10-12hr guys.
  19. Train smarter not harder
  20. Ofcourse but life isnt a fairytale unfortunately. This applies to more than just cycling, it applies to the world.
  21. True words
  22. Then you have a grand master from SA who did a sub 3 at Argus all upset cause he spent a year living more Pro than Tadej and wondering why he didn’t win or podium. caliber is not even close
  23. Budgets are anything from 10-50m euros
  24. Nothing, if you want 10’riders then a Continental team is your option. You have minimum rider count in WT team of 26-30 riders.
  25. If it was about that, why did he not hire them when he had the chance during the duration the team was around?
