  1. It's worth asking.
  2. Ditto all the positive comments, Ive had great service from ICE ID (Yael)
  3. I remember it so well......
  4. Aaayy lahnee, that checks lekker...
  5. This brings back emotional memories....long ago and far away in Pine Street in Durban, there was a bicycle shop called S.H. Francis, and I remember the first picture being displayed there. I spent many little boy hours in there looking and dreaming of my first bike, As it turns out my first bike was bought from SH Francis, which was cool because they used to put a metal tag on the cross-bar displaying the name SH Francis - some one-upmanship here. It was a 3-speed black Achilles, size 26, my pride and joy!
  6. I've been very happy with Shimano SPD 540 pedals plus MT40 MTB shoes. barrykm2008-07-11 08:37:12
  7. Which dealers in Johannesburg have the Specialized measuring device?
  8. Is that necessary. Do you now Pantani? Pantani that looks uncomfortable. Do you know that the Bee's poisen never leaves your body and at some stage it could affect you badly if you get stung again & again. You might need to seek some medical advice at some stage. Hope you feel better. It might be a good idea to consult a Homeopath and they could put you on a course of treatment to reduce future sensitivity. Even right now a course of apus-mel (? spelling) would help I think. Hope you get better soon.
  9. I bought a pair of 540s last year, also no tool in the box.
  10. No replies.... Does this indicate little knowledge and experience amongst Hubbers of the Felt Z-series frames, or just little interest...?!
  11. *bump*, dammit, *bump*
  12. *bump*
  13. (mini-hijack) ..and why do Felt SA only show the lower-spec Z90 on their website? Are the other higher-specced Z-series models not available, what about the Z-1 frameset?
  14. Where it is necessary, the need for greater float probably trancends most other considerations, but as secondary issues I've read some negative comments regarding the durability and cost of Speedplay cleats, as well as problems with the cleats becoming clogged with dirt etc. Any comments in this regard?
  15. Agree, agree. The ease of posting to forums such as this great, and they fulfil a role, but think before you post.
  16. God bless you Bryon Wittstock.
  17. Hmmm...evil-looking spike towards the end of the 70km route profile
  18. You Sir are a gentleman and a mensch!
  19. Unfortunately, another example of idiots giving cyclists a bad name. This evening at about 18:15 I passed three tw*ts on MTBs riding towards Jan Smuts on Empire Road. No rear lights on, in twilight, and even worse two of them riding abreast, holding up a queue of traffic. Now, even if there is an obscure bylaw somewhere that might allow two cyclists to ride abreast, at that time on Empire Road it is sheer lunacy!!. Traffic and time constraints prevented me fom stopping and giving them a piece of my mind. They are surely not Hubbers, but if anyone might know them, I think they were quite young, they need some education, if not a 'snotklap' as referred to in another thread today. Stupid, stupid.
  20. That's great. I found that it took a lot of conscious thought to get into the habit of automatically unclipping when planning to stop at a stop street (always of course...) or traffic light. And yes, I toppled over a few times but fortunately without harm - just remember to topple to the left..!
  21. Best wishes to you both.
