  1. If you want to sprint for the 500th position a 53 is definitively the way to go. Check the tech treads, as it has been discussed to death.Ox_Wagon2008-08-28 10:58:17
  2. A rear tire lossing traction is bad...... A front tire washing out is REALY BAD...... Ox_Wagon2008-08-28 08:57:26

  6. The SDG Bel Air work for me and the upside is that you can pick them up at most bike shops for around R250 because they come as OE on a lot of bikes and the buyers the ?Upgrade? and the LBS is the stuck with them. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am tempted to get me one of these for obvious reasons Does anybody know where I can find one of them.

  13. Nice looking bike. But then again I like old steel frames.
  14. I am also cycling through from PTA east.
  15. Look like I am in but I bringing my MTB.
  16. According to some of the UK MTB mags it is difficult for mere mortals to discern the deferance between a Recon and a Reba and the Fox is a nicer shock but also requires more TLC. So if you want a fit and forget fork go with the Recon. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  17. 11-25 with a compact

  19. Price range for the maguras?
  20. Have you considered having a set of adapters made? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> For interest sake, what would you want for the brakes? Ox_Wagon2008-07-24 10:42:56
  21. What size fork was the frame designed for? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Check the head angle and then keep in mind that a 20mm change in fork length increase/decrease the head angle of the frame by about 1 degree. The typical sweet spot for a XC hardtail bike is around 71 degrees and it reduces the more all mountain (around 69 degrees) you go. So you must decide what type of handling you looking for. The steeper head angle the faster it will handle but it will also be less forgiving on down hills. The next question is if mere mortals like us(Me ) will be able to detect the differences.
  22. , I am not very keen on tubeless and don?t feel like spending mega $$$ on tubeless tires but I will most probably damage the strip if I remove it so I have decided to give tubeless a try on my new project bike using a set of wire beaded Kenda?s. If it doesn?t work I have only lost some sludge/slime etc and hopefully not some where I need to push my bike too far. BB, So did you find a rear derailer, and how did it go with the short cage derailer. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
