Yeah me too. Lots of maintenance I had to go through this year with the Baviaans

Join me Saturday for a SS ride? Mostly going to ride single track

I was spared maintenance issues with Trans, but my SS needs some attention (brakes). Using old Tektro Draco which I bought 2nd hand, probably just need a good bleed though.

I was contemplating doing the Autoquip at Brandkop but decided yesterday to take the weekend off...Body needs a good rest after Trans and rode Eden this weekend as well, which turned into a looooooooooooooooong day for me.

Thanks for the offer, will have to make a plan sometime.

I see your puppy is already moving in on the bike and getting familiar in order to tow you through water again ..... SS not dog sled :)

Enjoy, it looks like it will be a fun ride

Yip. We were the 4 poor sods who came up there after you packed up, one of the guys had some derailleur issues (long story)...We finished just before dark. I was nursing the one guy through his 1st marathon.

Haha, shame man, glad you guys made it. I was the guy fixing the poor sods derailleur. Sorry for packing up, we did not know you were still coming

Thanks. The frame is pretty bling enough so decided I want to fit the bike with all black parts. The chainring bolts and BB is gold and want to replace it with black parts. I took them off my old SS.

Yes it's a 34 × 20. Don't know if it's going to work, but I wanted to use the 34 up front so that I can quickly convert the bike to 1 × 10 when needed. My shifters mounts directly to the brakes so all I have to do is to quickly pop on a cassette and derailleur with cables

gents, i'm looking to replace my dartmoor totem 32T front chainring , after 8,460.7 km according to STRIVER, it is starting to look and sound and bit tired....

The dartmoor chainring is cheap and lasts me long enough, but its only in stock in terqoiuse (deliberately spelled this way showing my love for the colour :whistling: ). anyone know when in CPT i can get a new 32T chainring....? at reasonable pricing? ps i would like to stay running 8spd chains, so i'm still 2 minded about running narrow-wide chainring....

You can still run Narrow-wide chainrings with 8 speed chains

Same with 9speed chains. Running a narrow wide with no problems
