94.7 goodie, er rubbish, bags & registration

Just had a look inside my goodie bags ............... what a load of sh*te! I've got two pairs of ladies sports socks two silly things that supposedly enable me to stand up and pee. There's bubble bath stuff and funny creams and other crap.

Both bags were full of ladies products even though it says Veteran Men on the envelopes with the numbers.

A few things will get used. The numbers!! and maybe the energy bars but I dunno 'bout mielie flavoured porridge.

I wonder why they can't email our numbers so we print them that way it saves us wasting half a day trying to get them!

Oh yes, a few old issues of some magazines completely unrelated to cycling.

Must agree - the "goodie bag" is a load of crap.Thumbs%20Down

The Registration process, though, is a lot quicker than was the case at Kyalami, but somehow still not as efficient as the Argus (which has more entrants).Question

They have been quite clever in making us walk past every Expo stand to get to the exit - Where were the Diadora Girls??Cry

I am so ******* frustrated with this expo issue, yesterday I thought I would leave the office in four ways at 3.45pm dash through and collect my numbers and be home at 6pm.?

HAH!!

After sitting for 40 minutes in a traffic jam on the M1 I took the next exit and went home.

Its a joke, now I wasted two hours in the car, an hour and a half off work and I still have to go back today - so I achieved ZERO.

I have no interest in the expo, I have everything I need, and to me its nothing but a waste of my precious time, I am honestly in two minds about just canning the whole race !!

There should be options at the entery process, one should be able to choose, YES I will collect my number and my goody bag or NO I dont want a goody bag post me my number - or something like that.

...............my goodie bag from last year is still lying under the stairs - unopened.!!! - if I wanted some old publisher over-runs, socks that dont fit and a sample of cheap oats I would go buy it myself.

They said on some cycling programme the other night that the goodie bag was a real good one this year. What a lot of crap! The only thing I will use is the Hollard bottle which never leaks. As for the other rubbish, straight to the bin.

Why do they always give us old crap magazines that they were not able to sell??? I got an Auto Trader from beginning October, do me a favour!

here's an idea!!!!

Why not issue a number with our licenses next year. That number is then mine for the year and I nver, ever have to go through this nonsense number collection again!

Normally on SS entries, there is an option to get your number couriered for R70... which I think is ridiculous for a small race where I can just pick up my number on the day of the race.

But for 94.7 where getting your number is going to take 3 hrs  i think this would be a good idea as an entry option, I dont even care if they make a profit which could go to charity on the courier fee.

this would also mean that the guys that pick up numbers are the ones that actually have time OR want to see the expo (and they would have less crowds to deal with).
