Boeshield T9. Now that is some good stuff. And it almost looks like 'Bos Held' (that's how I misread it first time I looked at the bottle. Then I noticed it's made from some aero-grade lube from Boeing, which as you will appreciate, is very important when oiling your chain).

Nice and clean on the MTB and very long lasting.

Why not consider the highest ranking lube on MTBR.com (the only lube to be awarded a best of MTBR award two years running)

Do a google for Chain-L reviews to see what other riders say about Chain-L.

So am I right in assuming that a wax is the best as this post has not cleared up anything for me. I am more confused now than when I started

No...lube is a very personal thing Kobus....They had a review a couple months ago in the tread mag, and it seemed like they agree there are some days where wet lube / oil based(finish line, pedro's synth, motorex) work better and some days dry lube / wax based(squirt, rock n roll) works better. I constantly cycle between squirt, pedro's synth and finish line....wet lube works well in muddy conditions since it doesnt "wash" off as easily and last longer without re-applying, wax based works better in dry dusty conditions, it doesnt make a black mess in your drivetrain but needs re-applying on longer rides.

To be honest, there is no one lube that is perfect for everything...

I am looking for the best all round day to day chain lube. Preferably one that won't turn me or my clothes black. Any ideas?

I went through 6 months of training for the Epic with Squirt wax lube and had absolutely no trouble. I won't use anything else.
