He should hit them with his car, would have been cheaper.

I'm with you on the dog issue!

I live on a plot with semi domesticated rabbits and chickens. I like self relliant animals that only need occassional care.

I've had a few dogs getting through the fence and munching my rabbits/chickens...not cool man - keep your frikkin dogs in your frikkin yard.

I wonder if I can sue at R25/chicken? The rabbits came with the property so I can't really claim for them...

I stayed on a farm in Olifantsfontein and had 29 Rhode Island Reds

Just what do you do with 29 eggs a day

I have 3 white dorkings - they supply the family and most people at work with eggs.

They're good for about 300 eggs/year.

It is astounding that a chicken can produce an egg almost every day!

It's probably your bloody cats that are setting the dogs off. Funny how cat owners think they can just let their cats wander around at all hours, and then get irate because dogs bark and chase the creature that's kaking and pissing in their territory. Cats should be kept indoors.

You aren't by any chance my neighbour are you? Says the reason his stoepk@kkers bark all day long is because of the cats in the neighbourhood. Funny how my dogs don't bark all day long.

just out of curiosity, do these eggs taste better than the ones from the shop?

I'm on the cat hater side of the fence...

There is nothing worse than coming home to the smell of cat urine after some feline turf war. When I chat to the owner I get the standard "cat's like to roam/cruel to keep them inside/nocturnal blah blah".

It's YOUR pet - keep it in YOUR yard/house/flat etc. I keep my animals on MY property - do the same with YOURS!

Phew. Man I hate cats.

That depends on the taster! I love them.

The yolks are orange rather than yellow and the eggs taste more...well...eggy. Like slightly concentrated egg I guess.

If you like eggs then you'll love completely free range eggs - if you tolerate them then store bought will be more your cup of tea.

Chickens are awesome to have around - as long as you don't have a rooster. Without a rooster they're fairly docile and make decent pets - mine love to be picked up and petted. Bizarre but true...

Pets with a benefit - who would have thought?

Love my dogs, not fond of JR's, and being a dog behaviourist i will not put up with badly behaved animals!

Not a very good dog behaviourist then?

Pretoria - A man has been ordered to pay damages after his Jack Russell dog ran into the road and collided with two cyclists.

http://www.news24.com/SouthAfrica/News/Dog-owner-has-to-pay-cyclists-20110413

Bet he would have got a R5k suspended fine if he had used his car.

Sorry!

Did the dog COLLIDE with the two cyclists, or did the two cyclists collide with the dog?

Bet the doggies owner had never heard of CARBON bicycles before now! :D

What? Maul a cat? Chase a cat? Cost their negligent owner vast sums of money? Crap cause of a brooklax overdose? And wait, do you smack the owner on the nose with a rolled up newspaper and tell them bad boy?

Yup, its not the dogs fault.
