Had the same dis a few months ago.

Hans Stijdom PTA East - 3 km on 3.x%

Hills near my home (all in Silverton area):

5% for 600 meters

7.5% for 450 meters

9% for 400 meters

then a 4.5% for 1.5 km.

That is some of the hills I can ride...

Cois I am in the same area, lynnwood ridge, where is the 9% for 400m climb?

That's the one Mr M.  Must say that the views do make up for it.  But by the 4th, 5th or (heaven forbid, I hope Jelly Tot never sees this!) 6th one I don't really care!!!

Jip, Krugerdorp is full of them.

Wonder how Krugersdorp Hill is going to change (car volume wise) with the new Casino being opened there?

That is a very good point, been watching that thing go up at a rapid rate... but for me the biggest danger is getting there. bloody Hendrik Potgieter, scares me sh1tless...... too many near misses

Comaro Road hill' date=' Bassonia, south of Johannesburg!!! and the one off Orpen street near Builders warehouse & The Glen shopping centre!![/quote'] What about Impala??

Shaunh, forgot about the Builders one.  Although it's not that steep the change in gradient and the distance gets to me!

That's the one Delgado!  And when we doing this Impala Rd?

For the road: Sylvia's Pass from Bruma side gets the heart rate up a bit, and so does 1st Avenue Edenvale going south. For the MTB: it's got to be the track behind Dowerglen up toward Greenstone shopping centre.

I think the hills coming back towards Johannesburg along Robert Broom are the hardest, but that's probably becuase they come at the end of my ride. Doreen is hard, but it's very short. Breedtsnek is probably the hardest MTB climb around.
