That cathedral looks epic!!!!!

Sagrada Familia - The only building on earth that is not even finished and is already a world cultural heritage site. Been building it for over a 100 years now and due for completion in 2026 or 2030 depending on who you believe. Promised myself I'll go back there when they are done. Magical place.

As a Ken Follett fan I know these big cathedrals, historically, were built over 2 or more generations. The modern ones, with modern equipment would be quicker I suppose but would they have the same soul?

There is that saying about planting a tree you will sit under, I feel the same can be said for those original masons. Laying foundations then waiting out seasons to continue, knowing you will not see the completion on the building. Incredible.

Morphs' posts of those amazing sketches made me realize that I should post some of my not-so-amazing ones, just because it is fun............I have been messing around with a white gel pen on black paper lately.

Ode to the most reliable vehicle on the face of this earth! (yes, even more trustworthy that the Merckx) Dates from somewhere in the late 1970s, we think. Odometer stopped working somewhere in the 1990s, so no idea what mileage it has done. During Covid it stood unused for over 18 months - and started at first try when I needed it again.
