Ouch ! Moral of the story is that he should carry a fire extinguisher. Had a similar BBQ the other night in one of my classic cars and thankfully had an extinguisher at hand.

 

+1000. I was in Builder's Express the other day and the fire extinguishers were on sale for R120 I bought three. Initially seemed like a lot but compared to the damage you could save... (Not only in your car) Priceless IMO.

I have vw aircooled fetish that eats up all the cash left over from the cycling expenses. Couple 60's bugs, westy camper and Single cab split window.... All weekend toys unfortunately
