my workflow is in a mess so not sure if this was shared.

 

Sunrise at the Tlou Dam on Madikwe Game Reserve. Handheld with 5D3+70-200mk2.

Brilliant shot, Vivek. I also like the handheld route. Tried the tripod once when I was trying to get a shot of the moon, I just find it a bit of a mission to keep setting up. Might need to start using it with some shots with my 55-200mm though. The 18-55mm is light enough to use handheld.

Its almost impossible to set up a tripod on a game drive vehicle that's the only reason I shot handheld.

 

What Tripod are you using ? I found that when using a 3 way head its really a pain to set it up when shooting subjects like the moon. A ball head works much better for something like this. The 55-250 is still light enough for the hand, but if you don't achieve a fast shutter speed then you have to stick it onto the tripod.

Got this one. It says Professional, but of course it's far from being Professional. Think I payed just over R900 for it.
