Tried the tripod once when I was trying to get a shot of the moon, I just find it a bit of a mission to keep setting up. Might need to start using it with some shots with my 55-200mm though. The 18-55mm is light enough to use handheld. Thanks Its almost impossible to set up a tripod on a game drive vehicle that's the only reason I shot handheld. What Tripod are you using ? I found that when using a 3 way head its really a pain to set it up when shooting subjects like the moon. A ball head works much better for something like this. The 55-250 is still light enough for the hand, but if you don't achieve a fast shutter speed then you have to stick it onto the tripod. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
