Wyatt Earp Posted January 23, 2012 Share yeah that fuji is a beaut, i cant warrant the cost tho.rather spend my spare pennies growing my lens collection so far. canon 10-22mm f3.5-4.5, canon 50mm f1.4, canon 15-85m f3.5-5.6 and the canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L expensive hobbienext on the list is the canon 70-200 f2.8 IS then ill start looking at maybe getting a 17-55 f2.8 and maybe a 24-105 f4 L ahh decisions decisionsThe 50 mm. f1.4 is a beauty and sharp. The 70-200 f2.8 IS is super heavy, I bought one secondhand, I should have looked for a S/H 70-200 f4L IS

Shebeen Posted January 23, 2012 Share was looking for a new compact point and shoot and picked up a Nikon Coolpix S3100 for R999. quite amazing what idiot proof cameras you can now get for under a grand. Went up table mountain to check out the blue disas whilst they're out and this is the result from just mucking around with settings. most of the pics where of flowers, because the fynbos book is too damn heavy to lug up the mountain. Cecilia waterfall tested the self timer with camera on a rock, not the result i was expecting but pretty cool pic anyway. fooling around with sunglasses and reflections. the blue drip disas....back to the manual on this one. Wyatt Earp Posted January 30, 2012 Share We made a youtube clip and wanted to use an Arno Carstens track, after some tweets and a bit of correspondence back and forth, we went to see him perform at Tanz Cafe.Problem with these venues, they don't allow the use of SLR's ,I took my Fuji X-100 and looked pleb enough to be able to steal some shots. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7012/6775934955_9d53b28a7a_z.jpgS0013173 by OddPix1, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7158/6775936545_4495a73f82_z.jpgS0013179 by OddPix1, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7030/6775939189_c1957e7f8b_z.jpgDSCF3190 by OddPix1, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7170/6775940137_0824353877_z.jpgDSCF3198 by OddPix1, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7174/6777329203_d8a157fbaf_z.jpgS0013178 by OddPix1, on Flickr
