Um. First impressions are very very good. It feels more plush than my Boxxer World Cup to be honest. I pumped up the rear yesterday and rode at tokai in the pissing rain again yesterday. It was a bit soft on the first ride. I can honestly say i've never had so much fun at tokai before. Can ride up and down everything.

The bike might be a teeny tiny bit too small for me but I really don't care. The only time it feels that way is on steep climbs and then I just have to move forward on the seat and we're fine.

Overall the bike reminds me a lot of my old Izimu (rather obvious I guess). The rear end feels very lively but not scary. The lyric feels like the perfect match for the bike. It's a bit on the heavy side. 16.5kg. But the wheelset is really burly. I suppose it could lose a kg if I bought a lighter wheelset.

In summary I think it's the perfect bike for a downhiller who wants a bike he can ride up the hill but is still focused on coming down.

I doubt my Makulu will be used at Tokai any time soon.
