Advice please... I bought a very exotic carbon fibre frameset from a "Hubber" on monday, and when I took it to my local bike shop yesterday they refused to work on the frame because it is cracked. I contacted the seller, and explained the situation... and the seller said they would refund me my money but I would have to wait until they had been paid. (Fair enough) But an hour after the conversation I was sent an SMS by the seller with the number of the other person that was interested in the Frameset, and told "I hope you come right with this"

What should I do?

Nope...not Fuji. I promise I will name it. I just want to try reconcile this first. Really just want the opinion of the Majority as to what to do...

The bottom line is that the Seller was not 100% honest in not pointing out the crack initially, unless of course he/she was totally unaware.

If the Seller refuses to refund your money in exchange for the frame, then name and shame. Until that point, don't mention either the make of frame or the sellers name.

GreyOwl.

Phone the guy.  Sort it out!  If the guy is unwilling to negotiate, name and shame so that your fellow Hubbers know who is not honest in their dealings.

I know...I'm trying to be nice here. I'm giving the seller the benefit of the doubt here, as they claim they did not know about the crack. I just tried to contact the person, but it went to voice mail...

If the seller does not pay you back in a reasonable time then name and shame him. The seller will probably plead ignorance about the crack. It is only fair that he pays you back in full, maybe he can then claim warrantee or from his insurance.

You must definately advise the frame brand though.
