Morning to you all. With all the knowledge available; Which one holds the bottle best over rough road surfaces? I am using camelbak bottles and LOOK cages at the moment. Not 100% happy

specialised rib cage. I use it on the mountain bike and the bottle never comes out, no mater how rough it gets.

Doesn't Elite make one similar to that one? Anybody using Zipp cages

Bottle cages matched to your bottle.

I use Bontrager bottles. They fit perfectly into Bontrager (what a surpriselaugh.gif) and Zipp cages. I wanted to get some Look cages but they were about 2mm to short to adequately fit the lip of the bottle.

I have not lost a bottle yet, but they tend to slide up and I am really worried of loosing one and having the bottle fall under my rear wheel at high speed

That is also why I never used the crappy Hollard or Cycle shop branded bottles. They don't fit any cage.

I used no name carbon cages on the road bike and Rav-X on the MTB. The interesting thing is, you should try a cage with a full bottle. The weight of the full bottle can make it jump out easier.

Thanks for your replies so far. The specialized could work and the arundel also looks promising

I use specialized with Camelbak bottles - good fit

+1

I use the Specialized rib cage on my seatpost

When I stopped after a long stretch of downhill singletrack, I saw my full bottle hanging upside down.

The top bolt fell out (my fault), luckily I still had a drink left! Dont know how long it was hanging like that but it must have been a while.

The bottle (500ml) get gripped in that lip, solidly!
