Shame - our rescue pup had to go in for some pretty hectic surgery on Tuesday. She had a broken tooth - probably from way back when she chewed through whatever to escape, and had to have 3 teeth removed, and an abscess drained. Doc reckons what happens a lot with rescue pups is they don't get the correct nutrients when they are young, so things like teeth (and in her case her whole lower jaw) never really develop properly. So no more bones and stuff for Gracie! He also reckons she was probably chewing my sprinkler heads because of the constant pain he was in. I could have bought a nice set of Enve wheels for the vets bill

Good luck with the rehabilitation. And trust me, as I know you feel the same, A dog is a lot more worth than any wheels.

This is where I feel a fund or something should be created. Kind of like we did with Millwaukee from Tumbleweed. Everybody contributing financially to a good cause when a hubbers pet is in need.

.....I tried to herd the patio furniture but they wouldn't listen!

As you can see from the patch sewn on the cushion in the topleft corner....this is not the first time!!! :cursing: Edited by blondeonabike

Oh for sure. Was still less than a months school fees too I bet.....and as for the rehab - while rescue dogs might have a few more issues because of what they lacked when they were puppies, they make up for it in sheer bloody willpower to survive. No amount of stiches or cuts on her face was going to stop our Grace. No sir, this morning she was up and about as if there wasn't a mark on her. I suspect my sprinklers are in for a tough battle again this morning.....
