My two Pekingese pups sometimes gets coughing bouts, but not "out" like normal coughing. Sounds like they are inhaling at the same time.

A bit of gentle patting on the chest and back does the trick, even though it can take up to 30 seconds for it to pass.

any of your babies do the reverse sneezing??

Heard it for the first time ever last night..

Yup, both my French and English do this. Here's a link I found when it happened for the first time:

I find that the English doesn't give two sheyts when it happens, life just goes on. And if that means that she was busy barking at the cat next door you'll hear the most odd rendition of a snort-sneeze-bark and possibly a fart or 2. As for the French, he takes it a bit more personal, doesn't stress out but he always looks for a cuddle right after it happened. So I just stroke him gently until it stops.

My brother got a Burmese kitten yesterday. However, he made the mistake of feeding it after midnight and it transformed into a gremlin possessed by the demonic spirit of Wrath. We managed to capture it again, but it has sworn to kill us all in our sleep. We may need to contact an exorcist. And from now on I'm sleeping with one eye open.

How does one make such a mistake????

A mixture of fear and exhaustion. It had cornered him in his room and had threatened him with disembowelment if he did not feed it with the blood of its mortal enemies.

you guys and gals need to make a hubbers promise, that all your pets are micro chipped and their vaccinations are up to date !!!

Tick for both.

The way it works in our family is that around May every year our super reliable vet sends us a message that the animals are due for their vaccinations.........then we all make our yearly checkups with the GP, the gynae, dentist, optometrist........and of course with said vet! Can't imagine what  the state of our health would be without a little help from the vet!  ;)

To add to that, there have been a couple of rabies incidents in the Malmesury area recently, so if you live in Cape Town, ask your vet whether you should include a rabies vaccine as well. I believe it is well worth it.

Ricky in his favourite chill position

For obvious reasons I don't a pic of Bagheera in the bathroom ..but bath time is his favourite time of day.. when I go bath or shower I tell him come let's go bath and he will jump up and follow me to the bathroom.. he loves bath time he will sit on the washing basket (it's a wooden kist that we use as a washing basket).. but first he asks for a towel to sit on..then he will clean himself while I bath..he does the same when I am in the shower..but..when I turn the shower off and don't get out straight away he starts freaking out..will jump off the kist and come to the shower door and moan at me and the and try open the door.

We really hit the jackpot with these 2 cats.. Bagheera also tries to play whatever the kids are playing outside..the weekend my youngest was playing sword fighting with some sticks and I he tried to pick up a stick to play with..then he played some hockey with my eldest[emoji23][emoji23] of course Ricky follows my youngest everywhere..even down the road. .which causes some issues as he always has to bring him back home.. [emoji23] [emoji23] I think if we had to put a leach on him and take him for walks he would be in his element.b463450d066c3de9030260b43bc4b7f2.jpg

Same with my kitty. More often than not, he follows me into the bathroom when I have a shower, but once I'm out the shower and if I leave the shower door open, he likes to go in the shower to check what was going on.

Ensure the VET scans those chips when you go for vaccinations. They tend to disappear...
