Someone please give me the formula for working out seeding index

Thanks

OK, worked it out

D2D 38.17

Race for Victory 37.66

(Your time in minutes divided by winning time in minutes) -1 then x 100

I think these two races are too late to form part of the official 94.7 seeding for this year. You might need to ask them for a reseeding.

I think I have done about 8 races this year and I still have no seeding

First one was Wilro in the middle of April.

You are right, just checked their website. A bit stupid, we are in September and the results for both races were up same day as the races.

Just emailed them and said reseed me or I don't enter

There are only 4 races in Gauteng that are seeding races for 94.7 2011, this Racetec monopoly sucks

Try the attached spreadsheet, or type it out manually in Excel as follows : =ROUND((1-Winner_Time_Without_Seconds/Personal_Time)*100,4)

Where the definition for Winner_Time_Without_Seconds is =TIME(HOUR(Winner_Time),MINUTE(Winner_Time),0)

Names can just as well refer to the normal A1 / A2 / B1 / etc format

Enter both Winner_Time and Personal_Time as HH:MM:SS

Great Race - first time I did this one and I am wondering why I avoided it in the past. It's local for me - rolled out of bed around 6h10 and still got the the race early. High five for this race will attempt the 101 next year. Thanks to the BM/AM group that stayed together from start to finish - good pace, a bunch of sane cyclists for a change.

This gives me much better results than I had caculated

D2D - 27.62

Race for Victory - 27.36

I had the 2 times the wrong way around

Why multiply by 100,4? Why the ,4?

That's the Excel ROUND function syntax. It means multiply by 100 and round to 4 digits.

The actual formula is:

(1-Winner_Time_Without_Seconds/Personal_Time)*100
