Hi BB, cannot remember - most probably due to the fact that I was bleeding from the eyes due to the effort :)

Where did we join you?

Ahh, thanks for a great ride, Can't remember when/where we lost you, but we worked well together!!

it was up that killer climb, around the start of the KOM... Tried my best too catch up again but rode alone and nobody seemed to have the legs to help when I passed them... And yes, it was a awsome ride... Thanks!!!

Very slow, easy race in the VA's.

I see the VB's and the A group rode a faster time.

So basically a training ride with some awesome hills and scenery.

Organisation was awesome.

Race office actually mailed me back and helped me. 10/10 for that!

Nice toilets. :D

ON TIME race starts

Good marshalling with the marshals being considerate to racing as well as safety.

So a lot of positives.

As for the gravel bit....I would have been fine with it until this happened.

Hopefully this happened at the END of the race? Seems so...

Fortunately yes......

Had to peddle the final 5km on the rim.

Sad thing is I now have to fork out $$$$ to go buy a new one. Not planned!!

You win some  , you loose some.

Still....I am a firm believer of categorising races....

Road stick to tar.

(Same goes for MTBing not walking, caring your bike over rocks.)

Wish we could stick to that....... <_<

I have my doubts about the wisdom of including gravel sections in road races. It does provide a bit of variety, but if the damage it causes is taken into account, I reckon it's not a good idea. A lot of people lost time and money on that short section.

That dirt section DOES separate the men from the boys. As my dear old Mum used to say: "Toughen the **** up!"
