I wonder if I can interest anyone in a happy topic today?

I know it's early, but after this week the holidays take hold with a vengeance, and it'd be good to hear what blew back your hair this year.

For me it was riding in Suikerbosrand and seeing jackals at the top of the the 1st hill in the grass and then running ahead of me on the road - happended a couple of times.

Just like that Kevin Costner film umm:

The Witness

Waterworld

Robin Hood

Dances with wolves, only they were jackals... and we weren't dancing.

I learnt alot about people and their character this year by being involved in cycling and that to me was worth something. Other than that I had fun riding my scoot. colonel2007-12-10 02:40:42

i would say suikerbos as well, two weeks ago we rode there we saw some wild life not sure what they are, but the best was the downhill close to the end, there must have been about 12 zebra's running alongside us.

my next best was my great 94.7 time, it wasn't the greatest, but i knocked 2hrs off my last years time, so for me it was just perfect.

also meeting a great group of people, who i would never have met if it wasn't for thehub.

Hopefully last December counts. Had to dive into the bushes when 3 frenzied giraffe came hurtling towards us after taking a wrong turn at an Xterra event.

Then there was the camel.......I was driving the sweeper vehicle at a club race and the last rider had to swerve for a camel that came charging across the road.

Highlight of 2007 for me was the Kremmertart.

Same here Scotty! That was the race i enjoyed the most this year, and being in the TCS team and having Jaco win it just topped it off for me!

Wow, so many to choose from...

but guess the 5 day tour of the Overberg by MTB culminating in the 7weekspoort mtb challenge takes the cake Thumbs%20Up

followed closely by surviving another year in SA.

I think I had a great first year on the bike (oh it's actually not a full year yet Big%20smile)

I met some great people, did some amazing races and got to travel to places to do them. I camped.......that's saying a lot believe me LOL I got to taste the results of hard work and that only motivates me to work harder.

Got some very nice results at my races too Embarrassed But I think the best is that I made a decision to try it and stuck to it.....a year down.....how many to go.....only time will tell

Definately that one... the day when Dilbert didn't give a toss about tension, structural damping, watts per kg etc etc etc, but did what I know he does best.... getting in a break and ripping the legs off his opponents. Love your work.

For me... two tandem podiums and learning a lot about Vets racing from guys like nochain, spinnekop, 101% etc. Viva 2008
