Well the route is not set in stone. It varies every mass so specifics are unknown, but below is the basic game plan Start from Dunkeld at - 18:00Ride through Rosebank, past the zoo, up Oxford, through a bit of hillbrow and constitution hill, down into braamfontein.Stop outside Great Dane (Braamfontein) to meet up with other bunch - 19:00Wreak havoc on the streets of JHB all the way to the Bioscope (Fox Street JHB CBD) - Not sure what time that happens. Some call it "beer time"Back to Great Dane to drop off those that started thereThen back to Dunkeld. Total distance for Dunkeld riders, 40-45km. For braamfontein riders 25-30km Only tough hill is Oxford, but the mass waits at the top of the hill for riders. The long route isn't hard at all. Hope that helps

You don't really need anything above moderately fit. The pace is super chilled, it's not a race, there are no indemnities, races numbers etc Bonus and mooky 2
