I'd go for that - esp. if there was some kind of shirt amnesty deal where I could hand the Lost City special in, no questions asked, for a discount on the Hub stuff.

Nah, think we'd need to have something similar to a Guy Fawkes evening where we burn the shirt to appease the cycling gods.

I agree lets get another batch made, and the club idea sounds like a good one.

Not to put a spanner in the works, but if you register your club you need to be affiliated to single prov or sub divide and register per province (cylelab for example). The latter will be a very expensive option.

If the idea is to have a social club (non competive in prov and national races) then can you not have a social club as such with kit and all, no affliation required as each member can obtain a recreational or cyclosport lic direct but ride in the kit.

IMO far cheaper and less hassle than joining a Club affiliated to Prov  affiliated to CSA and the rules that come with it.

For once Scotty is dead right. I find it amazing that you babble forth for eight or more pages without anybody knowledgeable says anything about the rules and regulations. Sjeesh ..........ekke kan julle nie vir 'n halwe dag as "verantwoordelike" fietsryers op julle eie los nie.

for a club you need min 20 members, a constitution, a registration fee for the club, approved kit (no sponsors), and a fee per member per year (and one or two other things - i have notes at home about this cos i had to ask gail the other day). i don't see that one club in one province will be a big issue unless the peeps in the other provs want to do provincials etc.

i do like the "social club" idea - then it's just the racers who would have to have an alternate club for racing purposes.

i've sent admin an email re kit though - that is independant of any other ideas/wishes so let's see what he has to say. i know that pmt has to be done 50% or something on placing the order and the balance on receipt and that means that the only way to pull it off is for peeps to pay up-front when they place the order and then we can co-ordinate from there, but let's wait for admin's reply. i am willing to assist with any co-ordination etc to get this going.

but there are already enough clubs affilated and associated with the hub already. Why not just strengthen these relationships?
