Crazy situation that. And one that is very easy to correct. Ban players that have criminal charges/records for attacking their partner's/spouses/women. That they don't is beyond imagining.

488 all out. Gutted for Bavuma but that's cricket for you. He kept the second half of the innings together nicely and a share in three vital partnerships. Hoping our bowlers will ram home the advantage.

What a catch by Quinnie!! Down the leg side, standing up to the fast bowler! Might not be in the best form with the bat, but a catch like that is worth 50 runs in my book!

A solid day out for the Proteas. Bavuma got close to another 100. Maharaj played positively to push the scoring along and our quicks in particular looked like taking wickets all afternoon. I risk getting ahead of myself, but if we can get the last 4 wickets in the morning session, I’d let them follow on and then try and deliver the Coup de Grace tomorrow so they can get an early flight home. Just an observation: is it my imagination or did the animosity that marred the series so far disappear from the field in this test?

The Aussies are playing with apparent humility and focusing on the ball, not the man.

Their intensity seem relatively low. I reckon emotional fatigue and some jet lag from the new recruits.
