In hindsight I should've hey but didnt think the guys were going to sell me short by that much.

Takes two 'suitcases full of courage' to attempt an early break with the past weekend's conditions!

LOL!! I delibaretly said "they were riding so slow" cause I was not. Honestly there was about 4 or 5 of us who was actually willing to work, not enough with that headwind we had. In an effort to up the pace yours truley was at the front for most of the race, so much that I only discovered that G combined with F after the results were posted, which begs the question why I did not see any G riders in the front for some part of the race, only one bloke decided to come to the front....yes you guessed it to take the sprint for postion 200th. So when H decided to attack on Boyes I couldnt stick with, burned too much matches earlier on but what the hell it was a good work out.

Just yanking your chain. I'm in H (only just :D ), and when I get dropped I struggle to latch on to the I, J, K, L, M (you get my drift <_< ) riders that comes past.

Can see more of the same happening on sunday, as my legs are extremely tired after all the km's I did over December (overdid it, I must confess). Luckily Hels is at such a time that my legs might have had enough time to "wake up"

 Dont worry mate with all the MTB riding you do you have the leg strength you just need to work on the cardiovascular side of your fitness. :)

Cardio is there, legs just exhausted. Bit of "active recovery" and I'll soon be raring to go.

Well then you should be moving up the ranks in no time. I've been off the bike since the race as part of my recovery as my legs are feel a bit tender still, might ride tonight again.

Just remember, there is still that climb past the camera up to Kanonkop before Hels as you turn off Kromme Rhee..... this Tour de PPA thing is gonna be a killer! Possibly equivalent to the 99'er in toughness...

The 99er is the big Mama of all routes under 130 kms in the Cape - no doubt.

No comparison. ;)

Yeah, like the short route goes but we turn towards Stellies instead of towards Klapmuts..... As domisse says, no one knows at this point where the route goes (I think they don't either). I just speculate with my route map and use the vague info they give to guide the route.
