ErgoMax is actually what you usually get when they talk about ErgoFit.

In my mind Ergofit is just measuring, klapping the data in and getting the spreadsheet and setting the bike up according to that. ErgoMax is what happens afterwards, when the fitter checks you out (Various ways of checking out: pedaling efficiency, the 3 critical angles, your posture, your own input on what hurts when riding, etc.) with that "generated" setup, verifies your individual discrepancies and angles and customises the generated setup.

I may be wrong, but that's my take on it.

Going for a bike fit at Design in Motion on Monday morning. Anyone have a fit done with them?

I had a fitment done with them about 2.5 weeks back. I am very happy and would recommend them anyday. They made a couple of changes, seat hight, stem, cleat position. It has really sorted out alot of issues I was having on the bike for me.

Do you work from Centurion? Not much space at home or office, but if you're located in that area, you'd certainly be more convenient for me than Melrose Arch.

I don't see what justifies R750 for minor, and I repeat MINOR adjustments to the setup I had. My bike was almost a perfect setup when I went for my fit.

Total done:

Body measurements taken (height, arms, legs, stretch)

Fed into computer & then spits out what adjustments on bike should be

Seat moved a few millimeters

Seat height adjusted a few millimeters

10mm shorter stem (was 100m now 90mm) - R280

Total time: approx 45min

R1030 later.

My point: Does the cost really justifies what is actually being done? I wouldn't recommend paying anything more than R300 bucks from the experience I had.

DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND TRY TO MAKE THE BIKE FIT FOR YOURSELF IT CAN'T BE THAT DIFFICULT.

Or am I being unreasonable?

I had the Ergo Fit done and would recommend it to anyone. It really changed alot of things for me and really help with some of the physical issues (Shoulder pain and knee pain) as well as some handeling issues I had on the bike.
