onetrackmind Posted February 3, 2012 Share Indeed.I think the best part is he worked at a bike shop as a mechanic and can't do a tubeless conversion. No wonder his batteries are "recharged" I get that - without a compressor it is a pain in the *&^%. And it is so much easier just to drop it off and let somebody else struggle. Can't is probably not the right word. I say probably, because I haven't asked him either, before making assumptions.
Niner Posted February 3, 2012 Share I have one question, what did the OP try to achieve? Bad mouth the LBS or get them to do something that he thought he was entitled to?

onetrackmind Posted February 3, 2012 Share Like fencing? Does it count as fencing if you try to sell stolen goods back to the rightful owner?

It is probably easier than taking the front wheel off, getting into the car with the bike, driving to the shop, getting out, asking someone (who you have just had issues with) to fix another of your problems. Cheaper too. But then maybe this guy is loaded. He does have 2 serious bikes there.

To bomb a tubeless is not a good idea as it could cause the sealant to form a ball....obviously on the trail / ride you do it but then the idea is to let it down when you get home and do it with normal air. I wish the OP will tell us what he wanted to get out of this rant? Warn others? Get teh LBS to listen to him?

Take it slow Thanks for cautionary note ... planning some usual Friday PM carb load to help offset that (Frida carb = Hansa in my case), followed by some room spinning
