Hehehehe! Yeah, I miss the Colonel's input here. From accounts elsewhere, he seems to be getting on quite well.

Hmm it would be nice to see how he dances around the latest happenings...think back to the time when the Feds started investigating LA everyone from team troll was saying that this is it for LA, that he cannot escape now the Feds are involved and that Mr Novitsky would get his man.....

Now they (team troll) are saying that LA's money and friends got him out of the pooh, pah!!! Pity they did not think of that a few years ago when they were all doing their victory jigajig...

Note: The term troll is an affectionate term for the Anti LA brigade, much like their fanboy term.

indeed - and it raises some very interesting questions.

Are they really all innocent? what ever happened to all those bicycles? was the whole FBI gig a PR stunt? Were they merely doing the footwork for WADA?

You raise an interesting point, and maybe its not so far from the truth either. Personally I agree, it is possible the FBI were told, go take a lookie see at the entire LA debacle, scratch around a bit, not too deep mind, and if we find something interesting we will delve further, if not we can just close the book and say "we tried" because actually, we have other issues to worry about.

Is it possible,............ of course it is,.............is it probable,............I dont know!.

Either way, I dont really care, its nice to toss around conspiracy theories and mull the "what if scenario" but the truth be told, LA is a very highly regarded persona in the US, I think he was / is a tremendous athlete in his day, but that day has gone and we should all just leave it be.

I mean there are some in the USA who think he could run for president, or governor of Texas at the very least, such is the extent of his reach.......but, as for me, except for that scary moment with him and one of the skeletal Olson twins,........ I dont think he needs to answer anymore.

If you don't get the result you want, claim conspiracy theories, cover ups, bribery. A critic will NEVER accept anything but guilty as charged and accuse those that disagree as LA fanatics, disciples, worshipers.

Made an interesting read . http://nyvelocity.com/content/interviews/2009/michael-ashenden The doc who tested the 1999 samples of LA and his opinion on whether lance was doped .

the fbi case wasn't about whether or not he doped. It was about fraud. However WADA are now free to use all evidence gathered by fbi in their doping investigation

Interestingly enough the fbi investigation seems to have changed most people's perceptions of LA. Before this there were plenty who thought him clean. Now most agree he probably cheated like the rest

The UCI could very well be the worst enemy this sport has.

Even though most would agree with you, I don't believe they had a significant influence, if any, on this case. It was a federal investigation, so who ever runs the sport would've been irelevant.

And then, reveiwing the evidence is one thing, but starting another investigation 7 years after the fact? That just doesn't make sense!

I'm also still curious about George Hincapie's testimony... I think he backed Lance...

It was in reference to Contador.

Well he must have. He's about the only ex-team mate who hasn't been nicked for dope.
