Oi, I really hoped Cunego would hold on and take the win, I think he could have outsprinted Martin, he keeps saying he is a month off his form yet, but he looks pretty solid to me.

Couldn't believe Albasini won again, its very rare you see two wins on two days by the same rider, Green edge will be hauling out the cheque book to reward this kind of exposure!

Seems Valverde had a mechanical or something just before the climb so he is out of the GC now, pity, he also has great form.

Tomorrow is tough but I think I'll lay my cards now - Wiggins.!

Hoooo boy, they mentioned yesterday they were expecting very bad weather and may cancel the final climb and reroute the race somewhere else for safety reasons.

Cyclists it seems have gotten soft, 20 years ago this would have been an easy day in the snow. :whistling: :D

Well, as suggested yesterday the weather was atrocious and the stage was shortened. I was sort of hoping they would reroute it somewhere as it was the queen stage, but seems not.

So now I dunno, the rest of the event looks pretty tame route wise, on Albasini's form it looks like he could walk away with all of them.

I wonder whats gonna happen today at the Volta.?

Apparently yesterday there was a mass abandonment of a number of riders (modern cyclists dont like riding in the snow it seems) and although the organizers have said they can come back and race today, no one knows if they will.

Anyway we never saw it as the helicopter couldn't fly, but the stage was shortened and Brajkovic won the stage from a small bunch.

Teams are saying the race committee made a few poor judgments in the route selection and bad weather is forecast again for today, but chances are it will go ahead as the elevations are much lower. Only three cat 2 climbs today so chances are Albasini will be in the mix (if he is still riding) but its anyone's guess now what will happen.

Uhm, let me turn my attention to the upcoming Tour Of Flanders then...

:whistling:

I am riding the "fun ride" with some friends on Saturday and then watching the Pros on Sunday.
