have done thorough research and everybody raves about it. also had some coffee made with it, granted it was made by a champion barista, but the process appears easy enough. I have a pod system at home, so not too clued up on the grind side of things. what do you guys suggest I go for?

A hand grinder - a Pharos or a Lido from Orphanespresso.com - http://www.orphanesp...ders_c_283.html

Pharos would be my preference, but for travel, maybe the Lido would be better.

Edit - I just noticed the Pharos is not on that page - availability may be limited, but it's worth contacting them directly.

I use a hand grinder and Aeropress, and it is awesome. But I only drink coffee at home over weekends which means that it is not too much trouble to use a hand grinder.

The key is to use beans that were roasted less than two weeks ago, and after that the quality of your grinder plays a huge role.

where would I get a hand grinder at a decent price. Considering the cost of an Aeropress, not wanting to spend too much on the grinder.

Doubleshot coffee in Juta street had Zassenhaus hand grinders last time I was there - they are fairly cheap and reasonable quality- just a long way from the Pharos/Lido ito quality.
