if its not PERFECT ... it hits the bin ... hahaha.

And where would that bin be exactly :whistling: ?

Go buy a Scott with a home made front fork to take a 650B wheel then!

I still reckon a Morewood. Alternatively (I know it's a twentynaaaaainer) what about Pat's PYGA? Haven't read a bad review yet. Goes like a trail bike and one of our top pros (Rene Goustra I think) said he would race one if he could get it a bit lighter... Just a thought

Grebel .... are you having a laugh???? thats like saying why not buy a german tank thats equipped with a waterbed for suspension ... hahaha

I almost bought a marked down Coilair Delux.... but then my idea of a good bike would be different to your girlfriend's I'm sure.

I am probably the most pedantic prick of a man EVER when it comes to bikes.

11.9kg's too heavy?

i picked up a mates ghost - he had just spent 27k on it - so i was expecting it to be like a feather. I could not believe it was so heavy. after that i crossed ghost of my list

12kg's is 12kg's regardless of make. What weight do you expect from a full susser?

ok - put it this way...without looking at actual advertised weights it felt heavier than equivalent build with other frames. I have been told that ghost are heavy prior to this and this sort of confirmed it

edit - i am interested in this outcome as i need to buy a frame next year.......

You will not go wrong with waiting for a well priced Santa Cruz to pop up here Nigel.

I bought both my Superlight and Blur LT here at very good prices for the frame only option.

Alternatively I'd be going for either a Pivot or Ellsworth. I am very interested in the Pyga FS!

I might have missed it but what size are you looking for?
