hope next saturday I'm collecting this

Nice cars, my dad drives a diesel one - very comfortable ride, lots of power, light on fuel and nice big boot with lots of packing space

i was trying for a diesel but can't find one with low mileage in my price range. There is loads of space for all the baby stuff.

This just arrived for me.  Can't wait to start building, but will need a few parts like short stem and new seatpost first.

That is such a hot frame!!!

What sort of build are you looking at, components wise?

Hi Steven

I am going to move the components from my Scott Genius over to the 5 Spot.  Will be 1x10 with a Sram X9 clutch rear deraileur with a XO gripshift and a Hope 34t retainer chainring up front.  I've always felt a bit cramped on the Genius and the HA ia quite steep.  The top tube on the 5 Spot is 8cm longer and the HA quite a bit slacker.

Can't convince myself to make the switch to cleats so treated myself to a pair of Five Tens. Can't wait to try them out this weekend along with a pair of Fox baggies.

BRILLIANT!!!

Are these not difficult to ride with?? They seem nice to reduce clutter but just don't seem as user friendly as trigger shifters.. Or does it come down to personal preference?

They're actually brilliant. Not at all as difficult to use as you'd imagine, and you don't activate them un-necessarily. They're direct, you can change all the way down in an instant, and they're far less cluttered. Only problem is that you don't get them in anything but X0 & XX.

That's what I was concerned about.  I would love to test ride a bike with them!

I am all for de-cluttering and the direct/instant changes is a win...

I learn something new everyday on this here hub

The XO grip shifter is amazing.  The shifting is smooth and precise.  I have XO trigger shifters on my other bike and the gripshift wins hands down.  And like the CPT said if you suddenly need to change to an easy gear you just grab a handfull of shifter and twist.  It can change from the 11t to the 40t with one twist.
